I do not believe everything I read. i wean what if it is a circle? Or what if it is an square? Just happens not to be any other islad there at his time to point to.
Egyptians will try to sell you many things but I am not a shopper so I got a few things for my children in a very good price (fair) I even got some Egyptians coins wich is rather difficult to get and yes many places are filthy but I was visiting and that was not my problem.
The most terrible thing in Cairo is the transit of vehicles it is a whole mess and to try to go across one a street is so scary, I was wondering ummm? I check my food intake because of cholesterol, etcc and I migh get hit by a Egyptian car or bus?? no way. What I did I grab the arm of my guide (a young men ) so anytime I would go acrros a street the guide would offer me his arm!
When visiting countries or another cultures I like to focus on the good things and the people and I try to enjoy the most posible and give the people I visit something in return and many smiles and big thanks for their hospitality!
Great adventure Dandelion! I have done a 3 days cruise on the Nile and yes it was wonderful too. Abu Simbel was for me much more impressive than any other temple or site and the personal on the boat amazing people really caring.
Someting curious was that, since I was travelling alone I was recomended to use my ex-name as If I were a married person and his last name was the same of a very importan Egyptian business man there in telecomunications (big fish) so when the Egiptians would see my name they would be even more friendly and they would try to please me so hard so I let them care for me
Thank you for your great comment and I do hope to go back to Egypt.
QUOTING: I learned about how the brain works and how emotions influence the way we hear and process information. This in turn influences our decisions, as well as those our clients make.
Greenwald was informative, filling us in on facts about the brain:
1.it weighs 3lbs. 2.is 7-10 million years old 3.it does not fully develop until we are approx. 20 years old.
These facts were interesting, but what Greenwald went on to say got me thinking. She explained that we can only do one thing at a time! Despite our best efforts, we cannot multi-task – I guess this why she would not let us tweet during her session.
She explained that the mind is linear and has not evolved…yet. Perhaps future generations will evolve in to doing more than one thing at a time since they will be raised in a multi-tasking society with all the new technology. (So for now, stop trying to do other things and stick to one thing at a time – like concentrating on reading this blog.)
Greenwald said we can only retain 7-10 pieces of information at a time and we forget 95 percent of what we know. She also explained 80 percent of brain thoughts are unconscious!
Therefore, for good decision making it is important to “underload in the society of information overload.” How can we do this?
Indeed Egypy is a very interesting country hard to say the most beautiful because there are many more but yes Egypcians are very friendly. Thank you for your comment and what a good extra experience for you to have to come down on a camel.
Yes, I do think that going to Egypt, Pyramids are a must besides many others temples. On boat on nile river is such a wonderful experience to live. I have done it once and I hope to go back again not this year though.
I had to google it Saint Catherine's Monastery (Greek: ???? t?? ???a? ???ate?????) lies on the Sinai Peninsula, at the mouth of an inaccessible gorge at the foot of Mount Sinai in Saint Katherine city in Egypt. The monastery is Greek Orthodox and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to the UNESCO report (60100 ha / Ref: 954) and website hereunder, this monastery has been called the oldest working Christian monastery in the world – although the Monastery of Saint Anthony, situated across the Red Sea in the desert south of Cairo, also holds claim to that title. Wiki thanks Taff
I have been in Egypt only once and I got to visit quite a few places and yes the Pyramids are a must to see, to live, but there are many other amazing monuments.
RE: Did you ever give any presents or gifts?
I have given some presents and I have also returned some presents to my significant one.
