Let's once again back-up here ......and look at what started all this mess........a goverment led by Republicans that didn't want to regulate their rich corporate friends
Conrad.....to be quite honest - I'm kinda pleased that Americans have brought back in the Repubs........... I have enough money saved to see it through to the end when they finish us off ......
Obviously, it's gonna take complete and utter failure of government to finally drill the message into ignorant people's heads that archaic principles and arrogance doesn't work in a modern global economy......
Bush was at the Helm .....along with Cheney ... You people are the one's blaming Obama for the mess that they started ! Try to have some consistancy and play the same game you didn't play when Bush was in office......try taking some responsibility for once in your life !
What really bugs me .....is the fact that many of the senate candidates spend upwards of 20-25 MILLION DOLLARS on their campaigns !! And for what ? To be elected to a government that's soon to be entirely ineffective ....... That money could have been usd to feed millions of starving people, or rebuilding our national infrastructure !
Both my parents were prejudice against jews, blacks etc.... Mom still lives and occasionally spews-out a prejudicial comment occasionally ........I stare back with "the look" and she then re-states it in politically correct fashion. Can't train an old dog they say - but no reason to tolerate ignorance
I have met with my representatives personally more than once. Both are republicans and couldn't care less for their constituants - other than making themselves look good with their pet projects.
Thank you, then you can understand why some feel so strongly about the reality of what could play-out in the near future. My concern is that we go back to archaic principles of government with proven failure - outta spite for a power struggle for party take-over. We all lose with this one...
Your question does make me wonder .....have YOU ever experienced having your livlihood stripped from you - forcing you to make a complete career change to seek employment ?
Republicans will go back to archaic principles of free enterprise and unregulated corporate dominance. 20% unemployment will turn to 70% and property values will continue to fall. All lending will cease. Many many more will walk from their homes leaving banks with eventual collapse. Governemnt in washington will continue to fight over partison power and deadlock on any decision making. The dollar will further devalue, and foreign investment will go elsewhere.
You better hope he does - or this country is gonna have anarchy and rioting in the streets with everyone unemployed and paying all their hard earned money to corporations and insurance companies !
