Of course the other option is to strip down all of the house and congress to their diapers and put em in a sand-box together with plastic shovels to slap each other with ......
I give it about three more years - when health insurance premiums exceed the average mortgage payment .........
Of course - long before that - the other option that people will take is playing broke- and becomming wards of the state ... And, honestly - if the states don't fix this - they deserve it
What boggles the mind .....is that EVERYONE's gonna suffer from blind-siding the true cause of runaway health care cost.
You'de think that if someone had a simple 20 min surgery and saw the bill for $20,000 it would be enough to question why you're being ripped-off ...........
But so many Americans are so much in denial that they won't leave the sofa and the remote to do anything about it
That's another nobel cause .....but unfortunately with this recent swing to the right - these represtatives consider anyone wanting anything from the government as welfare recipients of a socialistic society........ Unfortunately - it's likely Health Reform is gonna be thrown back in the trash can - and we'll revert back entirely to corporate control of medical.
Good Job ! I beg you to keep the pressure on them ! I am doing the same .......I have my congressman's staff corresponding with my assemblyman rep ............ The problem I have geographically - is our representatives for this district are republicans - and they simply are just like Freddy with their attitude towards "free-enterprise" being the only answer. These republican reps in this area also have their own ajendas and pet projects which serves them for re-election - and doesn't allow them time to bother with the likes of my kind. There simply is NO representation here
But, I've taken it a step further and filed a comlaint with the Calif Attorney general's office ......( she's our new Dem AG ! )
I can sympathize with your situation ........ There are a loy of folks barely scaping by and need medical attention. No one in this country should not be able to have access to medical care when it's truly needed. The problem is.......we have a lot of people with an aristocratic attitude who think otherwise - they believe any government provided service is socialistic welfare.
But you can't feel too sorry for your government paid medical providers......they have a full time job with benefits and the job they chose for a living ........
In contrast to my stand .....I have seen cases where the doctor got screwed by my insurance company ...and offered to personally pay more than he billed ..... honestly
Beleive me .........they take great pride over here in the compensation they derive from the system and patients .......and they live totally guilt free for what they charge us for their services.
I have a number of friends both in the medical professions and insurance ...and they all admit it's completely in need of re-vamping and way out of control .....
You got that right ......but it's just like the gas prices ...people will ignore doind anything about it here until it is too late. Stubborn Americans will shoot both feet off before admitting their responsibility in issues like this one.
Let's look at that one closely. If the Insurance companies actually gave a damn and carefull negotiated contracts with those hospitals - we'de save a ton of money. BUT THEY DON'T ! They could care less about costs - and simply pass all those rip-offs to you and I in the form of premium increases....
