It's amazing, the homeless,they don't care about cell phones cause who they gonna call, they don't miss T.V. cause you only miss what your around all the time(I haven't watched more than 1 hr. of T.V.since becoming a member of CS) They roll their own cigarettes and most don't take anything if you offer it to them. I appreciate it everytime that I take a hot shower...they wait in long lines at Loaves and Fishes to take one. They stress out over where they are going to get their next meal not how can I survive w/o my cell phone cause my battery died. Sometimes I can help but envy them, no credit card bills, car payment,or house payment...
"Empathy" the word that you are describing, is a valuable word in dealing with people from all walks of life...I deal with homeless people on a daily basis, most choose to be homeless, but I like to hear their stories. I could never be a judgemental person cause all of us are a paycheck away from being homeless, unless of course you can fall back on Mommy and Daddy!
When my best friend of 20 years died of an aneurism the day after Christmas 2002, I was confronted with the fleeting of life...It was so unexpected to be talking on the phone with a person and then they are gone. His life was such an inspiration to me and such good person, but even he got down on all knees before the King. I still keep his Yahoo messenger icon in my contacts...just in case he needed to tell me something. Thanks zdeadmanwalking!
Hello,zdeadmanwalking, it's great to have a good man on the CS front lines...and someone to look up to as my court day approaches! Our kids are always worth the fight though and would go to the ends of the earth to win them...wish u could be there in court, would probably give me some good advice!
singleenuff brought out an interesting but true point...Anybody would be stupid not to think that there wasn't a clique on here, but a clique isn't always a negative thing. I usually never fit in cliques and despise them, but on CS it is a clique that is always welcoming new faces for instance me,catwmn,buffy78,Laddie, and so on. You just have to make it through the first few days. After that your part of the ever shrinking and growing CS family!
Hello zdeadmanwalking,I have been experiencing some real spritual demons in the middle of the night, I have been seeing these yellow blobs floating around in the room and sometimes they are followed by something else...I don't know how else to explain these things, but I tried to swing at one and put a hole in my wall by my bed. I just don't know what they are,any clue? This has been going on for almost a week now...same yellow floating blobs and something or someone is nearby. Hope you might know.
I need my camera phone back and I could at least get a 30sec.video of them and email it to all the CS members to tell them to make sure that they get some sleep or that's what will get them!
Star, the damn yellow lights...I even told everybody in my Sunday school class and I don't think I'm welcome their anymore! No,they just looked at each other and mumbled a little bit to each other.
Yeah, but what about the lights, they are like floating around in the room like beachballs or something and it seems that someone is with them, a person or a ...Freddie? Seriously, I hope that it doesn't get to the point that I will be afraid to go to sleep in fear of seeing these things...I know the last three nights for sure I saw the same thing. I just can't figure these yellow lights out in the middle of the night! I usually turn my cell phone to light up the room. I was so pissed when I woke up and saw a big hole in my sheet rock...didn't know I had it in me. I wonder if it is the demons of the CS argumentative threads!
hey newnstar, I was going to ask you about your sleeping problem, cause I have had some really weird things happening in teh last week or so....round little lights in the room and I even put a small hole in the wall trying to hit the damn things...do I need to see a Doc or what? Maybe the yellow lights are the computer screen in my head after I go to bed. I am serious, no joking.
