We are finding it difficult to find enough flights out for my family to make the trip to Michigan for my grandmothers funeral.



The ones that are available have prices that are so high it makes me sick.



I will relinquish a seat to one of my older siblings and probably be home during the funeral.

In the stillness of the night, she comes to me.

Her presence allows my heart to find peace;

Unlike us, cats never outgrow their delight in cat capacities, nor do they settle finally for limitations.

Cats, I think, live out their lives fulfilling their expectations.

Before daylight this morning my grandmother passed away.

In honor of her:

I am home in in heaven, dear ones; oh, so happy and so bright.
There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever, you shall rest in God's own hand.

There is work still waiting for you. So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth, you shall rest in God's own land.

When that work is all completed, He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting, oh, the joy to see you come.



In honor of Katherine, I love you grandma and may you rest in peace free from pain, free from the physical limitations of your earthly body, you have earned this rest and I will always remember your inspiration in my life.
