My poor old Rotti has had a problem ever since she was a puppy - she is house trained but leaks - she is trained to sit on her mat when she is inside - she is a lovely animal - but getting old - it is so hard when they are a loved member of the family - you can exclude them
Squishee fell out of a nest - the well meaning owners put a cage over her to protect her from feral cats - so she was near death when my girls were told about her. they brough ther home and i didnt think she would survive - honey and water seemed to revive her enough to start eating. That was just before christmas - she was from the same area that the big fire went through so maybe she was meant to be rescued. Anyway - she thinks she is a cat - she has a cage inside and a big cage outside the window - I open the window and she comes into the house. We have 6metre ceilings so she could fly if she wanted to. She has tried a few big flights but seems happier to run around with the dogs and cats. We cant release her now - she would not survive and I am told that magpies are very territorial. So she is destined to be a big black and white budgie who rings like the phone, barks like the dog adn meow like the cat. She rolls over on her back, plays like a little kid and loves talking and chortling - when she thinks she is alone it is beautiful coz she sings. You can tell when she gets tired coz she gets all soft and cuddly and you have to hold her like a baby.
I will have to find some and put them up - I have lots of videos - usually the magpie chasing the cats. but... Squishees personal hygiene habits are amazing considering she is an wild animal - she bathes every day!!
speaking of personal hygiene - I was having a shower this morning - the kitten and the magpie were running around the bathroom. Squishee (the magpie) decided that she would try getting in the shower - she hopped in - hopped out - hopped in again and realised that it was water that was hitting her. all teh tiem the kitten is sitting outside of the shower thinking - the bird is crazy. Squishee then proceeds to lay down in the shower and have a bath - complete with singing - it was so funny.
