I think the Government would rather have the land than have Farmers working it, and asking for Grants that help them out. Those grants would be best in the pockets of the Euro lords.
From what I have seen lately I get the feeling Politicians think farmers are nothing more than glorified Spongers.
Nothing new in the idea about the buying and selling of votes. In fact its apolitical goal of some oppressive regimes. If you ask me its a Political Pandora's box. We already have a system where Votes are supposed to mean action for the people. Its called Democracy and if its not working its probably something else. and besides do you think the party that got in on this basis, would not think of another way to "fumble in the greasy till."
