I read your first post again and immediately I thought back to the last time I made someone smile.
I was in the supermarket and I told a woman how beautiful her hair was.
I remember another time I paid a man (a stranger) a compliment and as he smiled I could see the pride he was feeling. THAT made me feel good that I made him feel good.
So I think, paying a compliment to a stranger will most of the time make someone smile or at least a little snicker..
Hi V....As you know I don't give my email address to anyone. I have a good friends on here that are in the UK and I won't give it to them. Not because I don't trust them, because I do, but the more times you give out your email address the more times you are vulnerable to identity theft.
Hey Jeeps...Things make me smile (1) children and puppies together (2) a man smiling at me (3) the way a man snickers with just a little curl of his lips when I tell a joke that wasn't funny (4) someone being kind to someone else.
Hi Buddy....haven't seen you on the other side in awhile.
Jani and Salanky, thanks for the welcoming.
Across the pond there's a thread about a 57 year old man who is bragging he loves his 19 year of finacee from the Phillipines. It's getting a little hot so I decided to git outta dere cause I think the guys a bit of a problem.
You guys should be in bed. It's after midnight in your land. I just put chicken in the oven so it's going to be a late dinner for me but I'll play witcha for awhile....
I hope I'm allowed to post in this forums. I just wanted to say that we now have the X-Factor in the U.S. and I love it. IMO, it's so much better then American Idol or any of the other music shows. They finished boot camp and are now at the judges homes. Next is elimination of 16 people. I don't have a favorite yet but I think Simon favors a 14 year old girl but I think she's going to be eliminated. She's kind a blusey singer with a voice that reminds me of Bob Seger. There are two older women, one of them is pretty good.
I lived in Virginia for three years. May I suggest that you don't look for accommodations in D.C. as D.C. has a very high crime rate.
There are many hotels in Virginia. If cost is a factor, try these towns:
Fairfax Stirling Culpepper Herndon Loudoun Manassas - this is about 45 minutes from D.C.
If cost isn't a factor, Vienna is very close to D.C. It has a huge mall called Tyson Mall. It is also about 15 minutes from the C.I.A., in case your interested and about 30 minutes from Reagan Int'l Airport.
There is a category at the top of this page called "Books". You might get more exposure if you post the information of your book there. I use it all the time when I read a book. It's a good way to see what a book is about. If you can buy the book through Amazon you will be given an opportunity to paste the URL of the book and write a comment about it. The directions how to do it are easy.
I wrote a thread with this video the other day. I think there should be a girl and a guy. That would bring men and women to the audience and people might have a better chance of meeting someone.
I'm not talking about dinner money. He got 60K outta me. That's hard to replace especially since I lost my job last year.
Before he came into my life the emotional pain in a breakup was painful but when you are taken for a lot of money that puts a different light on it. True life goes on, but if you were walking in my shoes you might have a different attitude. Everybody's circumstances are different. I don't think about it except when a thread comes up and I offer my opinion like now. Other then that, the problem is in the past with lost baggage..
RE: is these forums r just for time waste?
Happy Birthday Libra...
