thumbs up Exactly BB.

RE: Welcome Back Beloved Disease....Kill Us,-In The Name Of PC.....

This is what I have been trying to relay to him Lala.

Your comment about parents failing to immunize is why I said poor medical care...

Gotta go..wave

RE: Welcome Back Beloved Disease....Kill Us,-In The Name Of PC.....

I don't know why but it could be, poor medical care or lack thereof, poor hygiene, lack of hand washing, not covering one's mouth when coughing. TB is all around. If the majority of people don't protect themselves and practice good hygiene they make themselves susceptible to the bug.

I was in the hospital with pneumonia about 15 years ago. It started out as a deep chest cough and led to pneumonia. I still have the bug in my lungs and still cough. I have to be very careful that my lungs aren't inflammed again with the pneumonia bug.

RE: Welcome Back Beloved Disease....Kill Us,-In The Name Of PC.....

My daughter isn't sick. She has Latent TB.

RE: Welcome Back Beloved Disease....Kill Us,-In The Name Of PC.....

It's not erased, it goes dormant. My daughter has TB but it's inactive. Her father also had it but it was inactive. It can be passed from one person to another without being active. She gets tested every year to make sure it hasn't changed it's status.

RE: YOUR HERO !! The MAN from TEXAS - RICK PERRY !!!

WHEW !! He wasn't doing all that boasting in the debates with the other candidates. In fact, one candidate in particular showed how he is in cahoots with Merck. He won't win because the American people don't want another scammer when it comes to our money. wine

RE: How TV Ruined Aspiration

Ahhh yes, the recession, stimulus packages, unemployment, the U.S. economy and don't forget that my government is at the brink of crashing is all the fault of tv.

How could I not know that help

I'll admit that I did buy a particular shampoo cause the advertisement said it would make my hair bouncy but it didn't work. My hair is still as flat as a pancake....sigh

RE: Today I sent an email to the mods

It certainly is your decision Ray and I hope you have better luck then I did getting a response from the Mods.

I tried to load a pic of myself but got a message that it wasn't the right format/size. They give an email address where you can send it for them to load it for you and I sent it to them.

In fact, I sent it three times asking them to upload it and they haven't loaded the pic or responded whether they want to do it or not. It's a pic that's only two years old whereas the one that's on now is six years old. Can't question what the Mods do so I'll just deal with the old pic.

RE: How TV Ruined Aspiration

People are more intelligent then what you give them credit for. If you are watching cartoons and commercials, your brain allows you to relax and laugh. When you watch, National Geographic, History International and Discovery channels, they are very much learning channels. In fact, I DVR them so I can go back and watch the program again because I may have missed something interesting/important.

If you believe this video then I guess it's true that you have been programmed to believe that it's true?

Marulaki....I read your profile. You clearly wrote everything you want him to be and what you don't want him to be, but you didn't say anything about drugs either pro or con.

Is there a reason for that?

RE: first Day of Fall

Hi Rider..wave Reading your post I had to smile about the part of the colors of the trees. You are the only man that likes the fall colors of the trees. I remember in previous years dating someone and asking if we could go to New Hampshire to see "the changing of the trees". Guys looked at me like I was crazy. It's truly a woman thing to see the trees change colors. You have to time it just right cause the trees in the New England states change at a different time then they do in New Jersey. I like it when I'm driving at the foot of a mountain and you look ahead to see all the trees together when the color change has happened. It's very beautiful IMO..cartwheel

RE: first Day of Fall

Fall is my favorite for many of the reason you said. The biggest reason is I like cool, breezy weather....

Thanksgiving is an American celebration but I don't think the Pilgrims meant for us to stuff our faces with food.

I remember my mother getting up at 4:00 a.m. to put a 25 pound turkey in the oven so that we would be able to eat by 1:00 p.m. That was the start of the excitement for me, knowing that the turkey was cooking. The smell of the turkey cooking and the Macy's parade on tv in the morning was all part of the day.

And don't forget.....five or more football games...applause

My daughter usually has Thanksgiving. She's a good cook and likes to make the traditional foods but also recipes. It takes her hours and hours to prepare the meal but takes maybe 20 minutes to eat all the good food. We don't talk.....we just eat..laugh Then hours later it's time for dessert..yay

RE: Iranian President Speaks

wow wow wow

RE: Iranian President Speaks

I saw it on the news and I am naming him the Iranian NutJob.

He is always outrageous in what he says especially at the U.N.

This time he caused the U.S. to walk out and rightly so...doh

He thinks he can get away with his antics cause he blackmailed us for a million dollars to get those two prisoners out of prison. The guy is big trouble.

RE: wanna open homeless teen girls, and young adult program please help!

I think you would be better off volunteering your time with an existing homeless program. That would give you experience in this genre.

I wanted to volunteer to help abused children and learned that I had to have a college degree to do it.

There is a program called Big Sisters/Big Brothers where you can become a mentor to a child in the program. My daughter who is 46 years old is a mentor to an 8 year old girl but they also have teenagers in the program. They're all over the country so you might want to check that out.
