We have a very diverse group on CS, from all around the world.
I would really like to know...
What do you think about what he says?
If you have the time, please listen and listen carefully. The interpreter speaks louder so it is not too difficult to clearly hear the translation. I believe it's just over 30 minutes long.
I saw it on the news and I am naming him the Iranian NutJob.
He is always outrageous in what he says especially at the U.N.
This time he caused the U.S. to walk out and rightly so...
He thinks he can get away with his antics cause he blackmailed us for a million dollars to get those two prisoners out of prison. The guy is big trouble.

HealthyLiving: I am not looking for insults towards this man.
I am referring to the substance of his speech.
The substance of all his speeches is to come off like a nutjob which he does quite well. Underneath all the vapid frothing idiocy is a keen agenda though - "I'm the supposed head of Iran and am a nut. I know you won't give me anything I demand but, will deal with anybody slightly less of a nut than I am.'
And so, Iran may not get 100%, the world will give them 90% and, be quite happy to do so.
An example of his pretend madness;
""I would like here to propose that the year 2011 be proclaimed the year of nuclear disarmament and “Nuclear Energy for all, Nuclear Weapons for None”.""
No leader of the world would wish for nuclear weapons to go the way of the dodo bird as they have, since their inception saved billions of lives in conventional wars as none can afford things to escalate. In this quote, one would think that he somehow expect the US and former USSR to find themselves in agreement on all fronts with the Chinese playing Eore in their 'Winnie the Poo' happy world which no moron on earth could ever expect.
In this way, Iran, a country who's only capability to project power beyond their own borders is through clandestine means gains the world's attention and, has western nations wringing their hands beyond belief.
As for your question, he speaks of the US using 911 to impose themselves upon some silly 'terrorist' then moves to purport that Iran has a big problem - terrorism!
""I wish to announce here that next year the Islamic Republic of Iran will host a conference to study terrorism and the means to confront it. I invite officials, scholars, thinkers, researchers and research institutes of all countries to attend this conference.""
His ranting and raving draws a distinct similarity to a combination of lunacy brought forth when Palin and Bachmann speak. Sort of a combination or twisted truths and accusations melded into one giant ball of self serving fabrications........

""Dear Friends, the United Nations is the key center for coordinating the common global management. ""
"" I announce clearly that the occupation of other countries under the pretext of freedom and democracy is an unforgivable crime.""
(UN provides mandates to Iraq and Afghanistan when requested by same in order to allow the US and coalition partners to aid requesting nations.)
So, on one hand, he legitimizes the UN and in the next, he delegitiimizes it.
Show us all where Palin and Bachman do such a flip flop please.

When you view the world through the eyes of peace, love and harmony, realizing that we are all related, whether human, plant, water, air or animal, and respect all, living in the moment of now and you know the truths of wars and genocides and that taking a life is not in harmony, then the truths which this man spoke today make quite an impact.
I am not arguing the character of the man or any underlying purpose or intent of his words. Simply relating to the words he spoke, which summarized the big picture. I have been studying the Native Americans and the genocide done to them. How they were forced to change their names and not allowed to live according to their culture. I hear them tell how this has been done to tribes all over the world. It's the same tactic done by the same evil types by the same evil means. That's what I related to as his words came forth. The others who listened at the U.N. must have received some worthy message as they gave a great applause at the completion.

Truths? I just showed where he lied.

By lying.
Ok. You like lies, I suppose he's your guy.

By people who endured thousands of years of same and those who had it done to them only once. In the grand scheme of things, the Europeans and the western world had it the worst with the native Americans only having to go through this horror one time.

HL
So when is he going to open up their nuclear facilities to the IEA to ensure they are not being used to manufacture weapons grade plutonium?
I mean, he must be on the edge of his seat wanting to prove that he is a man of peace and all right?
