I want to impose Daniels vision which speaks of the feet made up of iron and clay and the 10 toes.
I understand the two prophesies interrelate.
The 10 toes being the 10 Kingdoms of the Roman Empire.
Iron and clay representing that the empire would crumble but then be restored at a later date, enter globalism today.
The U.S. was not part of the Roman Empire. How can it be a part of the toes at the end? I would think it to be non-exhistant.
Could that mean the U.S. would be destroyed prior to the empire being reunited?
Many indian prophecies tell of nuclear ruin of America. I believe we will not be here in the end, as a major nation.
We have many nations against us and those wanting to destroy us. Why have the major corporations left the U.S., not only for cheaper wage earners and production, but they see the writing on the wall.

This is why I am trying to separate the words he spoke from the man who said them. True, he is repulsive! It's the message I am interested in here. Someone else may have written his speech?? Well yeah most of politicians have personal speech writers, but of course what they write is in accordance with the politician believes or wants to say they just give it a form, so it's the same. Also, I'm very glad to find at least one person with common sense and objective criteria here, greetings :)

Rev 17:12 "The ten horns ... are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.
Clearly it's talking about people, not nations.
They will be rulers, but their kingdoms may not correspond to any former kingdoms. They may be carved out of other nations at the time.

As for the feet, we can't assign them geographically to the Roman Empire. At one point the passage says that the various parts of the image are kindoms that "bear rule over all the earth". Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome didn't occupy the same territory but they were all world empires. I don't see any reason to think that the ten toes represent Rome at all.

Let's get the exact quote on the iron and clay here.

I don't see the idea of Rome crumbling and being restored at a later date. Just that the world is divided into many nations, some strong and some weak. And despite mixing up the races, there is no general cohesion.

Persia was not a part of Babylon either. The vision is about the succession of world empires, there's no need to interpret the feet as being the remains of the Roman empire any more than the shoulders being the remains of Babylon.
