I know my spelling and formatting of text has gone down the drain since my college days over 20 years ago, probably because in my profession I rarely have to write..
So my question is.. Does a persons writing skills effect your first impression of them when reading posts? and if so in what way?
You don't need to go Wayne all you need to do is loosen up a little.. and I doubt anyone here has a grudge against you. They were only trying to convince you to not be so serious and different people have different ways to do that.. Good Luck to you and keep your head up
There are two looks you need to watch out for when making first contact with a women... the get lost look ... and the I want you look .. The trick is knowing which one is which and that can be hard sometimes
Well with the work I do I never got to stay in one place for more then a couple years, having friends but never being anywhere long enough to form deep bonding relationships, when I was younger I thought I had it made, I've lived in 6 different countries and got to see the cultures in their eyes and not as a tourist, but now when I see family's around the Christmas tree or the guy coming home and being greeted by his family I do get a very empty feeling inside..
So if I knew what I do now, back when I was 20, I think I would have done things different.
On the bright side After this assignment in Holland is finished, I won't have to travel anymore, so I hope it isn't to late to find what I'm missing
I've done things in life and thought I did it all correctly but in the end they came out wrong... I've also done things in life that were full of mistakes but they came out correct.. So yes I believe in FATE
There was a father who was very proud of his three daughters.
Every night he took a stroll around the house to make sure everything was all right.
One night when he was doing his stroll, he could hear laughter coming from his youngest daughter's room. He stood there for a while and thought about this, but reached the conclusion that he could always ask her tomorrow, instead of bothering her at this time of the night.
When he reached the window of his second daughter, he could hear her crying. He thought about this too, but ultimately he decided to ask her tomorrow and continued.
There were no sounds at all coming from his oldest daughter's room, and he then went to bed, satisfied.
The next day, when they all were gathered around the breakfast table, he said to his youngest daughter, "I heard you laughing last night, as I walked past your window. Why was that?"
She answered, "That's because you taught me to laugh when someone was making me happy."
He then asked his second daughter, "I heard you crying last night, why was that?"
She answered "That's because you taught me to cry when someone was hurting me."
He then told his oldest daughter, "I didn't hear anything from you..."
She said, "That's because you taught me not to talk with my mouth full."
I have no Idea why I even bother to come in your threads warmheart I guess I was hoping you would finally say something positive.. get some pride and stop your whining your starting to look like a poor excuse of a man
yes but where is the point of being illegal? If I were to have 5 women living with me of their own free will in a relationship how could they arrest me for it? And just because some self proclaimed preacher were to pop a paper out saying we are married it's worthless.. Don't get me wrong I'm not on their side I'm just wondering about it lol
I always wondered about that because if more then one women decided to live in a relationship with a man of their own free will.. What is illegal about it? It's not possible to get legally married to more then one person at a time.. So the marriage that they have is only a piece of worthless paper.... So where is the law broken?
Well they caught them thats all that matters.. I'm not surprised about the news at all.. Is there anyone around naive enough to think it will ever stop? hope yes.. reality no ...Some even think if we are nice to them they will stop the killing and join us all at a Paul Simon concert.. wouldn't that be nice...
My pleasure and Thank you for letting us see there are still some good ones out there effecting people we interact with every day and not only some stranger on the news..
GAMBIA - The Neem Tree grows in abundance throughout Asia and Africa. It has a remarkable number of uses that, for centuries, have provided villagers in India with a myriad resource. Referred to locally as "the village pharmacy", the Neem's bark, leaves, flowers, seeds and fruit pulp can all be used to treat a range of diseases such as leprosy, diabetes, ulcers and skin disorders.
It can also be used as protection against malaria and as a natural pesticide, effective against about 200 insects, including locusts, Colorado beetles and boll weevils. In Gambia, although surrounded by neem trees, villagers have little knowledge of its potential, according to Sandi Bellaart, UK environmentalist.
She is currently fundraising to set up an information centre where they can receive training in how to utilise its benefits. She also wants to work with school children to teach them about taking care of the trees throughout their seven year growth to maturity. "The aim is to gather and document the understanding they have, then to offer the knowledge gathered from the 5,000 years of use in India," says Sandi.
"The result is to empower people by giving them access to information and change their lives for the better." A few years ago, knowledge of the Neem's medicinal uses spurred some major pharmaceutical companies to try to patent the tree. Vandana Shiva, Indian activist, launched a successful campaign against the companies to ensure the tree will always remain a natural resource for the people.
