RE: Dinnertime

Hey Martia, Do you reckon Tony would have a chocolate sausage in his fridge? I wonder if he protects his stash, his fridge probably has an electric fence around it!

RE: its a pity

Sounds great, i will have to try it. I haven't used my dehydrator for ages.

A tip, don't do strawberries in there, they are far to yummy and you or someone else will eat them all at once. LOL

PS You didn't mention if you cook the beef first?

All the men i have met lately don't like chilli, shame because it's part of my diet.

RE: Is travelling the best class room

The 2 out of my 4 children that ended up doing Uni were home schooled as we moved around. Uni is not the be all and end all. One went straight to Uni, then had a family, the other had family, then went to Uni. I have met adults who have never been anywhere and who supposedly had a good education but have no knowledge of the outside world let alone self preservation skills.

We were advised to get our kids involved in social activities like sports and clubs so they didn't miss out on social inclusion.

RE: Is travelling the best class room

Yes definitely it does, especially the way they are doing it. It doesn't have to be overseas either. As a child we went camping every chance our parents got to take us. we grew up to appreciate the simple things in life and learned to respect nature. We never stayed in a motel until my father was transferred interstate. Then we started learning a new set of skills, like learning to communicate with people who didn't know a gum tree from a pine tree etc.

RE: The Lost Thread - In Memorandum

The Aus Forums are the best part of this site, i am only responding to people i have seen on the forums. I have had lots of scammers etc., so i figured this was the best way to go. Have any of you been to any get-togethers?

I love the emoticons too!applause heart wings wine smitten

RE: Making bread

No more like a mother's tale, to stop everyone eating all the fresh bread LOL. I made bread for years by hand and loved it. i have never used a bread machine and never owned one. It can be fun and rewarding doing it by hand. The main thing is to follow all the basic rules and you can't go wrong.

The water needs to be 40degrees when added to the dry yeast.
The mixture from then on should not be exposed to draughts, more heat or cold until it has proven. I used to put my dough in my bed wrapped in the quilt. Make sure your oven is hot when putting the loaves in too, otherwise you end up with a brick. Best not to use any metal utensils as they quickly take heat from food, and the bowl should be china, pyrex or ceramic. If it strongly smells of yeast, you have most likely done something wrong. I'd love to make it again, so if you're looking for a baking companion, i'm available ! Cheers and good luckteddybear PS Don't like banana smoothies, i'll just eat the banana thanks !banana

RE: Making bread

That is so the sesame seeds toast and the goodness comes out. Seeds on the inside do not break open to release the oil and do not digest in your body. That's why they are better on the outside of the bread.

RE: What inspired you...

Loved the last three answers. I came here because it's part of my make-up to get into conversations as often as possible. It's a great way to find out the real personality of members on the forums. I got on the CS site out of curiosity when i found out some of my friends went to dating sites and paying for the privilege. Love that it's free.

RE: Can't get no

sad flower Read your profile, you have a great warped sense of humour, love it! And what better way to find Aussie women who care !!bouquet

RE: love

frustrated I hope they are all ok, i have many friends there.

I tend to be more attracted to men who are a couple of years or 10 younger than me, but i don't go out looking for specific aged people, good luck all xx
