For me personally, that would depend on how proactive you were with your treatment. I have a daughter diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder vs bipolar. She is now happily married and her husband is very supportive of her.
Not much different here in California. My daughter graduated from cosmetology school in October and has been unable to find a job, even going to several interviews a week. The same has happened in my field as a respiratory therapist. I work on call and have been unable to find a regular job because all the hospitals hire new grads.
For education, infrastructure, and armed forces. In my mind the ideal situation would be the most powerful armed forces in the world that is used as a deterrent to others countries from trying to take over, not for policing the countries that don't agree with our version of democracy.
I think helping the poor should be voluntary, not mandatory.
