You are absolutely right, I do have the freedom to say what is on my mind. But that does not give me the right to attack or kill someone who does not believe that freedom of speech is right, who does believe that freedom of speech is harmful. In other words I do not have the freedom to impose my beliefs on others by force.
If as some people say "That the world will end as we know it" either by natural or manmade (financial) disaster, your wish may come true sooner than you think. I only hope that if it does happen, that the survivors will learn from our mistakes. :)

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone. I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work. I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore. I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm. Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I get older. One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get! I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. Life is too short for negative drama & petty things. An award should go to the Virgin Airlines desk attendant in Sydney some months ago for being smart and funny, while making her point, when confronted with a passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo.
A crowded Virgin flight was cancelled after Virgin's 767s had been withdrawn from service. A single attendant was re-booking a long line of inconvenienced travellers. Suddenly an angry passenger pushed his way to the desk. He slapped his ticket down on the counter and said, "I HAVE to be on this flight and it HAS to be FIRST CLASS".
The attendant replied, "I'm sorry, sir. I'll be happy to try to help you, but I've got to help these people first, and I'm sure we'll be able to work something out.."
The passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that the passengers behind him could hear,"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?"
Without hesitating, the attendant smiled and grabbed her public address microphone:"May I have your attention please, may I have your attention please," she began - her voice heard clearly throughout the terminal.
"We have a passenger here at Desk 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him find his identity, please come to Desk 14."
With the folks behind him in line laughing hysterically, the man glared at the Virgin attendant, gritted his teeth and said, "F... You!"

I am finding it very difficult communicating with people who although speak English well ,especially if it is not their first language. Some of the things that are said, for example, when trying to be humorous get misunderstood. Also cultures and customs are very different. Does anyone else have this problem and has anyone had a successful relationship with someone from another country? If so I would love to hear about it and how you overcame the problems.
There are some things people say which shows that either they don't have one or have never had one. No owner of an AMEX Ebony, Centurion or (as mine was) Centurion Plus, would ever call it a black card. It is only called that by the press and wannabes. The card is made out of Titaniuim and the thing that is different to other cards is that although the letters and numbers on the front are raised the back is flat with no imprints in it.
Many years ago I had a friend who was really ugly yet got more women into bed than anyone I have ever met. His line was "nice legs, what time do they open?" He also got his face slapped a lot, but he didn't mind that cos there was always one who ...............................
I have killed, maimed and wounded many people. I am not proud of what I did but I did it and the guilt is mine to live with. I do not hide behind words like orders, duty or patriotism. I have always acted strictly according to Regulations. I was an officer and if ever any of my men acted in the manner stated above ..................................... It is still possible to fight a war without becoming a trigger happy lunatic. Many of my friends died but I dont hate the soldiers who killed them. I do hate the greed, and lies that created the situation. As far as killing innocent civilians, I have never shot at anyone who was not trying to kill me.
I dont hate any country or its people. I do hate the greedy politicians who for their own benefit (usually to get elected/reelected or to stay in power) use war. And the senseless loss of lives and misery it causes. I also hate with a passion stupid uninformed comments from people who have never been in a war and seen what it does.

Marine faces trial on Iraq deaths
The final US Marine to face charges over the killing of unarmed Iraqi civilians in Haditha in 2005 has pleaded guilty to dereliction of duty.
Sgt Frank Wuterich was one of eight Marines originally charged with murder or failure to investigate the killings.
The charges against six of them were dropped or dismissed, and one was acquitted.
Sgt Wuterich reached a plea deal to bring an end to the most notorious case against US troops from the Iraq war.
He faces a maximum of three months confinement, two-thirds forfeiture of pay and a rank demotion to private.
Before the plea, he faced several counts of manslaughter.
He is expected to be sentenced on Tuesday. Sgt Wuterich's guilty plea ended an ongoing trial at Camp Pendleton, California, almost seven years after the events in question.
Prosecutors argued that on the day of the killings, Sgt Wuterich lost control after seeing a friend blown apart by a bomb, and then led the soldiers under his command on a rampage.
Among the dead were women, children and elderly people, including a man in a wheelchair.
His former squad members testified during the hearings that they did not receive any incoming gunfire during nor find any weapons at the scene of the killings.
Several of them said, however, that they feared insurgents were hiding nearby and they had not done anything wrong by opening fire.
While the events in Haditha occurred in November 2005, an investigation did not begin until a local human rights activist went public with video footage of the aftermath.
