RE: CONVERTING A SOCIALIST

and as you say it was "so called socialism"

and I fail to see any point in Pat's story that shows any impact on any thinking caused by socialism

RE: How long would (or should) two people date before getting married?

I could not find any option in the poll for my opinion so no I did not vote either grin

RE: How long would (or should) two people date before getting married?

If there was any correlation between how long you date and the chance of the marriage being a success the question may be relevant but in my experience and opinion time doesn't guarantee success.

If it feels right do it but don't expect a guarantee with your wedding certificate.

RE: Lonely and want to find a serious relationship

Part of the fun of being on a site like this is the endless supply of e-mails from scammers - how else would I have so much to laugh about?

I think there are many people who are just logging in occasionally just in case someone contacts them - if you are serious be a little more proactive and make the first contact. You never have a guarantee of success in any relationship but if you never try you will never succeed. Not everyone on the site is a scammer and there are lots of very nice people who are looking for a partner to share their life with. Make it happen for yourself and don't spend years waiting for something to turn up. It actually doesn't - you just get older and cynical.

RE: Times have changed

it's great the way some music picks you up and makes you feel good - I find putting on my most loved music when I feel down actually does make me feel better.

Agree that getting the cd in the mail is great but my niece who is a musician reminded me that a lot of small music retailers are going out of business because of it - and it's the local independent retailers who promote local bands and that is where the music feeds up from. If you can buy at a local independent record store please support local musicians by doing so - here endeth the lesson for today teddybear
