During the GFC brought about by lax US financial controls , their was a stop on the increase of credit . For a period many requests for an increase in overdraft or refinancing was refused . There was a complete stop as we all held our breaths watching to see if your banks would fail . Trade agreements that do not include access for a countries main industry , dairy in our case , are a poor agreement . I see Canadians complaining about rising food prices but do not see the reason given for those rises that for instance their dairy industry sets the price to keep their dairy farmers making money . So they become inefficient , ours will never gain access to that market neither will US farmers who are dumping milk into pits , TPPA is a poor agreement for more than just one small county , it includes your own .
