Sorry to have snapped at you ali110. This is a bit of a sensitive subject for many of us. While I'm sure that Bone911 would much rather be staring into the eyes of a woman he met here on CS he will instead be staring into the eyes of someone who doesn't like him very much. He needs to know that he is supported by those who care and matter. Enjoy your day.

I just retired from the Marine Corps in October 2008 after 30 years. I had 3 tours in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan. You are most definitely fighting for the right reasons. As you said, you are fighting for the people of this country not the politicians. We have our freedom but there are those who want to take it from us. Our own government doesn't even always support us sometimes,rno matter what they say. You aren't putting your life on the line for a president or a congress. You do it for your family, friends and neighbors to ensure to keep things like 9/11 from ever happening to them again. I don't care about politics but I care about this country and the people in it as I'm sure you joined the Corps for the very same reason. I wish you God speed and safety. Your fear is very natural but I promise you that once you are there, that fear will become the greatest strength that you have ever experienced. Never lose faith. You are there for your country and to ensure that those who want to hurt us never have a chance to get here.

Yes, I think a formal education and having similar interests are two different things. Education doesn't someone's ability to be loving, caring and faithful. Two people can certainly work together to enjoy similar interests.

Of course, once again the Iranian regime is blaming the U.S. and Great Britain of interfering. Could it be fact that their oppressed citizens are reaching out to the world asking for help? Take a good look at the signs they carry. If they were wanting to make a statement to their government, they would be written in Farsi. But they've made them in English as this is their only way of communicating and reaching out to the world. Very intelligent young people and if my supporting their push for democracy is interfering then I guess I am.

Oppression in Iran is not a perception, Just tune in any television channel anywhere in the world right now and you can watch it live and unfortunately in color. Unfortunately, for the current regime there in Iran, they HAVE been exposed. The secret is out. No sense in denying it any longer.

A "perception"??? Again, I have experienced the oppression of women in the middle east not just watched them on television. Are you of the opinion of a man who intends to keep them oppressed? I am sure that if you asked any radical Iranian man they would tell you that their women are happy and doing just fine.

That was pretty good. I never even thought about the teleprompter issue. That has to be it! He certainly can't be afraid of a few "tough" questions. He could even bring Joe Biden along to answer for him as he obviously doesn't need a teleprompter. OK...let me rephrase that! He DOES need a teleprompter but doesn't think that he does!

I have to admit that I find your views very puzzling. I was a Marine Security Guard at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. for 2 years and found the the people very westernized and friendly even moreso in Dubai which was actually the only place in the UAE that wasn't dry. There is no doubt that the U.S. has made many mistakes over the years but I really have to wonder where you get your intel. Your words do not anger me. But your ignorance does.

Are you talking about Tass or Pravda? I spent two years as a Marine Security Guard at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow and I don't really recall any of their media being as friendly as Fox. But I'll take your word for it.

I cannot imagine any human being not wanting their freedom. Everyone is certainly entitled to their religion but to see how women are treated in Iran and other such countries, I'm not sure how people can sit around and say that's OK. It's nice that we can hide in our homes and say "well it doesn't affect me so it's no big deal" is WRONG!

You have to wonder why he is so afraid of FOX news. Perhaps they are the only network to truly ask him difficult questions? NAH...that can't be it. Why would you refuse to speak with people who might think differently than you as the President of all people of our country. As he has shown several times with both Iran and North Korea, he has no courage and is truly afraid of a television network and those who might possibly have opposite views. The ABC special next week proves that point. We are all Americans Mr. President. Even those who watch FOX. Why won't you speak to us?

I owe you an apology! I guess I didn't explain that very well and it certainly does seem a bit stereotypical Hopefully, you might be able to see what I was getting at. It would seem that the true question would be whether they prefer a bad boy or nice guy type. I often wonder why such incredible ladies end up with creeps. I can be a creep too! I just refuse to!
