ive never found any in the main stream,tried heaps but no luck,always at a steep drop off or sharp corner or whwere the river floodedand deposits were dumped ina gully etcgolds heavy ,but water is powerful.heard about the tambo ,i lioke jericho as there is heaps and heaps of relics,tried aberfeldie river yrs ago got snowed in there lol.your area is rich in deposits i know small bits but they mount up over time.meaning to send you a pic of me holding my nuggets,i,ll have to get my act into gear.coper creek near walhalla has platinum,my step dad got a bit outa there

when the rivers and creeks flood,thegold can get tossed around pretty violently,where i,m looking at the moment is a large bend in the river with rocks ,my guess is the water and debri hits these rocks and ends up below the rocks ,so in summer when its low i,ll be diging there mostly panning it nout.,as i dont have a sliuce now,know the gold is there got tiny 5mm pieces with my pan and signals with the detector.water everywhere at the moment running a bunker across the paddocks

thats the trouble i found when i used a battery dredge to try it out,maybe this one has a a regulator or something to save power,i know my jarvis walker watersnake trolling motor whuich is electric, is powered by a 200ampattery,and i can troll non stop on slow speeds for 3and a half hrs on with a bit ofa break now and then
