I dont think it shows any intelligence to generalize on people and express feelings in the way it has been done in this thread .. but on the other hand the own US- American people are getting so devided by the issiue of their world peace threathening ignorant leadership - which still finds great support in the own country - the situation is difficult for all - but the US-Americans are the only ones able to change it.. But as you mention proudness in your last sentence in the post .. I just wished the people in your country would be a little less blind proud just for the sake they have been told that the US is the greatest democratic country in the world - because its far off from the actual truth and situation. Since the trust is gone - and unfortunately the proudness of US-Americans is perceived largely as poor closed minded arrogance indoctrinated over the last decades by its governements, miserable education and media.. Its a change that eventually is going to happen - but then no one will shout anymore "God bless America".. Only "God come back to America"
Hi Smoky Yes your sister is quite right about Pietrasanta, its special - the nice is that its a few miles away from the beach, and a lovely old town with lots of atmosphere .. very bohéme and artistic people there - I lived there for a season some 20 years ago supervising the remodeling of a house in the hills - allways with the feeling of wanting to go back there someday.. but most parts of the Tuscany are really nice, except in August when all is much to crowded..
Ok .. I am looking forward to go this summer to establish myself in the Tuscany .. so anyone has some own experience and relations there - any insider tips are appreciated !
Now it seems to me that a great number of CS members will be on the move this summer.. for either holidays - but even changing workplace - travelling for University programms etc. etc..
in this thread one can post where they are going and as they like to have information on the place they are staying and as they would like to meet other people who live in their destination...
Anctus you are a "POWER SHOPPER" you´d better give in the future the date..hour and locoation where you shop on CS..LOL... that might be an all new shopping experience ..
