I'm in Alabama (could you guess that?) we've been having 70's and sunny, the front's on its way here though, it just started raining. Wish y'all would have kept that stuff out west. We aren't supposed to get any ice according to the weathermen, what do they know, but it's gonna get cold as h-e-double toothpicks. Brrrr
If you do for others what they should do for themselves you are robbing them of the opportunity to learn and grow, to fail or succeed on their own. You shouldn't feel guilty, tho I know that's normal, been there done that. If you never let a child fall, they'll never learn to walk. Same way with adults that never grew up. It's hard to let someone you love fail, it's easier to just keep doing it for them. But if you really love them you have to let them learn to take care of themselves or you'll be doing it the rest of your life, and you'll both be miserable.
Stand your ground Rose, you deserve better. The only person who will take care of you and your children the way you should be is yourself. Don't fall for the lies and false promises again. They will say anything to get what they want, and convince you because they beieve it themselves at the moment. Abusive men (if you wanna call em that) never change, in my experience. Be thankful you got out with as little damage as you have, and stay strong.
I love myself. If you don't love yourself, how can expect anyone else to? I even like myself, and enjoy my own company. Rather be alone than with a sadsack. I don't need a man, got my own cordless drill, can hang my own pictures and open my own doors, thank you very much, just kinda want one every once in a while for sh--s and giggles.
