For the first time in years, I’m trying to cook a meal for some friends (soon to be my worst enemies), so I’m reading a cooking book (don’t worry, I invited them next Saturday and planning to take the entire week off ). So far so good…I almost finished the damn book and, after every recipe, my reaction was the same as it was at the Geneva experiment: THE HELL this is gonna happen! No way, not in this lifetime!
SO NOT talking to you anymore! Change your style AND your status as well...as in madly in love with someone else, other than me. Kidding, honey...good to see you back AND happy!
1. From a practical point of view, it makes sense for a woman, if she likes a man, to ask him out. I know lots of guys who think that women like to give mixed signals, so they never understand whether a girl flirts with them or is just being friendly. That, combined with past rejections, make them quite shy and reluctant to approach someone they fancy. On the other hand, a smart and confident woman will think “what the heck! What’s the worst that could happen? I can handle a rejection, so why waiting for Mr. Sensitivity to make up his mind? I’ll do the asking.” 2. From a personal point of view, asking a man out is a biiiiig no-no, thankyouverymuch. And this has nothing to do with the gender roles, it’s all about the kind of men I fall for, the hunters. They really enjoy the thrill of the chase; that’s what keeps them amused, intrigued and interested (at the beginning, at least). When it’s about THEM, “there’s no such thing as a shy guy”, as Tulefel put it. If they like a girl, they will definitely chase her. It’s that simple. . If they don’t ask her out, it’s only because they don’t want that girl. Period!
I’m deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your father. Please accept my sincere sympathy and, as much as it may sound like a cliché, know that we are here for you.
If you behave, I'll show you the mail I just received from him...but let me catch my breath first, 'cause I'm still and and . Wait for me, I'm coming there...
RE: What book are you currently reading or have just finished...
