Well eric didnt hve much problem at all with immigration..
Just be honest and they will do whatever they can..
I have heard nightmares saying that they cannot work for 3 years or until papers are done..
Eric went to service canada and they gave him a permit to work but only to see if he could make the money that he was qualified to do..becos he was over qualified for this job..
but he did what he was asked..
so service canada kept track and they gave him a year to work here..and of course payed another 150..he went to immigration at the border and they also gave him a year..
Now waiting to get his permanent residence so he can stay for good..
I heard many nightmares but as eric said dont listen to what people have to say..just do what you have to..
deal with many people...call as many people as you can..
Dont take no for an answer..just be honest and they will help..
I will just say that some one here in my home town..got married to a british man.and he was ask to go back to the border a certain time and he didnt.
They came and got him..but was lucky didnt make him go back...but the papers were double priced..
I am happy that we never gave up..and did what we did instead of listening to negativity and people saying immigration are terrible and they wont lend a hand
