Life of Brian.. priceless, was thinking about it earlier when I posted something about lifting stones if free from guilt. Made me think of the stoning scene in it
No, sozzy, not sure yet what I will do with the song, might get my sons in on it, they are both grand guitar players, maybe they can help me out, and I have a friend who is a pianist and sings too, so I shall send her a recording as well (feel for them - deeeeeply )
How did you know I just finished writing my first song after not having written one for the last 30 years and recorded it just as you must have typed that
Nothing wrong with wild and noncomformist *howls!!!*
I lived once in a small Bavarian village, and every Sunday the church opposite my house filled up, and the rest of the week the same ones praying there were scheming to ruin each others lifes. It was horrendous, they tried drive one of the farmers into suicide, ran the poor daughter down with terrible rumours that damaged the girl horrendously - all because he was renting most of his land from the church, and they wanted to rent that land among each other
That does not mean though everyone who believes or goes to church is 'bad'. People will fail, it is normal, and sometimes they will be hypocritical, but I still drink milk even though I know how the cows and calves suffer, so ahem yes.. thee who is free of guilt lift the first stone, and all that...
and no grovelling; mistakes made, crimes committed, all needs to be stood up for, but not just on some may or may not judgement day.. something I feel one should always be ready to do.
1. very successful, authoritative, and commanding great respect
What is your income, Phoenix? Do you feel you are a figure of authority and command great respect?
I think that saying really refers to some very basics as in - males when younger have little to show for themselves usually. It's the start of their income bracket, no one really takes them very serious, while females when younger are usually considered more attractive, which relates to fertility levels and old instincts.
As a male grows older, he tends to earn more which makes him a better provider/raises his standing in the community, ergo raises his attractiveness level, while a female drops in fertility, thus dropping in attractiveness (although if you look younger, then no matter your actual age, you still get lusted after as the visuals activate the old instinct).
With females working and earning their own living, I think 'older males' have been losing ground a lot to younger males. Quite common now that older females pair up with younger males, not being interested in a male who is simmply.. well.. aging, more interested in just sitting on the couch and cultivating a beer belly. Not everyone is a Sean Connery who has gained in attractiveness over the years. He has a 'distinguished air' to him, but can't say every aging man I see can say the same, nor does every woman 'grow old' in the samw way either.
awww mj come on, most of you will at least still interact with others outside of CS, so what shall I say? My neighbour and this forum is basically the only contact to the human world for me Funny how some speak of their relationship traums. I found this life a trauma from the start and have never stopped trying to avoid it
Thank you, that was a nice gesture from a stranger
I feel pedro, you wish to share something with others which brings you hope and warmth, and that's very aimable. You are holding on strong to this against all the ridicule you tend to receive for it, and I never felt you are doing it because you want to gain favour with your God, but really because believing what you believe gives you something and you want to hand that on.
In truth you are not doing anything different to what some of us here are doing in regards to other things we 'believe' in, not religious stuff, but we too keep bringing things up in hopes others will wake up to them, but because it is more 'political' or what not, it doesn't give us as much stick as what you end receiving.
Have known that song all my life :) Will remain agnostic though, regardless of 'sensing' 'things' when I allow myself to do such...
There are things that make sense to me, but I just can not prove them. I do think though that science is coming closer to finding answers. Thing though is - what we gonna do if we do find the ultimate truth? What if we won't like the truth, or maybe could that truth unite humanity?
Not sure we can come to the truth though, as it appears to me should there be something 'beyond', then it lies beyond our 'box', and as long as we are inside the box, we won't be able to fully grasp what lies outside its walls...
Yes, I love daisies, or I used to but I really think something within me took damage on that front, their innocent sweet image in my inner world has sort of taken damage due to this forum
Nopes, I have been traumatized by all this daisy talk for good, it is too late, I shall NEVER overcome that again but instead try find peace by sitting on Buddha's lap, picking cheesy sunflower petals, and oh of course... ohhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ing too *nods firmly*
and LOL Phoenix want me to milk a goat while already detouring to bring you some milk with the rest of the order?
Fear nothing, I am of the blonde bush variety but you do know I am NOT sending daisies at reply flowers anymore as I always did, just because I didn't wish to have any part of this daisy obsession - I am sending sunflowers now instead
(I always loved daisies, now I can't look at them innocently blossoming along the path anymore )
I met an American helicopter pilot many years ago, he was very sweet, then shortly afterwards there was a major air crash at the base he was stationed at during a flight show, involving helicopters.
Mever found out whether he was one of the ones who went down that day
I can ruin.. I mean make a big difference elsewhere in the universe just the same, right? I bet there are places just waiting for someone who skips and curtseys with flailing 11 tentacles or whatever they got there
I was a child when I watched this the first time, and this probably makes me sound even more a freak than already usually *hangs head in shame* but I couldn't get the fuss he was making Seemed totally logical to me in a world like described there to make use of the most ready available food source. Breeding not good.. but why waste energy on disposing of something that could be used to keep others alive?
I know, bad, but is it not just the thinking of a specific time that makes it appear bad? Logic definitely would dictate it in my view
