I think in your Linux's control center there some Security setting check for the level of security chosen default is highest generally....this can be a problem also.....I am not working on Linux anymore...but this is what I can reckon
Correct me if I am wrong...first its platform that treats the code different and not the other way round.. Secondly, when you do a Http request through your browser (client) you always get response in string form (because http is a string based protocol) now when your Linux system receives a string response through your browser (client); your browser knows how to interpret it because it will be standard HTML response with some images and java script. Only thing I can suggest you to see if you enabled java script in your browser or not (even which will show you the page with less features) or are you not behind some firewall that blocked access to CS site or not....
I don't get your point here; because its the client that matter and not the platform you are using (like Linux)....so if you are using the proper browser like Firefox or Konqurer or Netscpae etc for linux (I am using Firefox too) then you should not have problem.....

Hi Uli Happy new year to you Now you already got the software but still keep this simple eqaution in mind....divide the size of CD (700 - 25 = 675 MB) to the average size of song file (approx 8 MB if mp3) to get the no of songs that can be copied....
When you burn the CD it doesn't matter how they are copied you can always short them once you read it ..in the way you want like by name, size, date modified etc....
