RE: Awesome Stats and Surveys

A survey in the U.K a few years back concluded that, and I quote,

"A pedestrians risk of being struck by a vehicle is directly proportionate to the amount of time spent outdoors and the number of roads crossed."

RE: stock markets

Not really no...and anyway I don't understand how having control over the stock markets could really affect me. Perhaps I don't know enough and for that I apologise for and regret my ignorance. It seems pointless to be concerned.

RE: stock markets

I don't really know. If they are well good luck to them. I'm not sure I really mind.

RE: gift

Oh right after they are born. Well stability I suppose. I can only speculate cos I have no children.

RE: Make a sentence

Jumping Junipers! John and June joined joints.(Euphemism) O the joy of joining joints. Jupiter (re)Joices!

RE: gift

Good genes...you have it made if you have looks, intelligence, are free from genetic illnesses and don't lose your hair before you're about 60.

RE: stock markets

Do you have an example of this? I suppose anybody involved in the stock market game is in it for their own gain.

Longlist...

...I was wondering if anyone was playing the Accumulator today and if they are what they have.
I have WestHam/Blues to Draw
Everton to beat Reading
Spurs to beat Derby
and Rushden and Diamonds(head banger ) to win.

10 of whatever currency you're using should net you a cool 220 or thereabouts and I feel it's a damn good bet!

RE: Why English is the hardest language to learn

It is true that the English tend to be pretty poor at learning other languages. I grew up in England and am actually living in a foreign country and have made little/no effort to learn any of the language.(Shameful I realise but I can excuse myself by saying that English is actually an official language here.) That sounds a little empirical I know but I didn't mean it that way.
On a different note the English can be quite bad at speaking English as dialects vary wildly. I grew up in Manchester and found it difficult to be understood properly when I went to far South!
In fact, I have heard much better English here than you ever would in Manchester!

Last night I dreamt...

...that I went to South Africa. Should I go based on this??
