Songs my mother taught me, In the days long vanished; Seldom from her eyelids Were the teardrops banished. Now I teach my children, Each melodious measure. Oft the tears are flowing, Oft they flow from my memory's treasure.
For Jac: A serenade by Charles-Marie Widor who was the organist for 64 years at Saint Sulpice Cathedral in Paris, France where he wrote 10 organ symphonies.
I loved living in the Denver area of Colorado. There was a lot of free cultural things to do there. Free days at the zoo, museums, symphony concerts and free off broadway shows as well. Then you can take a 30 minute bus ride to Boulder and hike the many trails in the mountains they had there. The Denver metropolitan area has over 300 miles of bicycle trails as well. They also had a cultural weekend for the performing arts which was free. Wyoming was a beautiful state to visit but I would not want to live there. One of my profile pictures is of me at Artists Point by the Lower Falls in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Songs my mother taught me,
In the days long vanished;
Seldom from her eyelids
Were the teardrops banished.
Now I teach my children,
Each melodious measure.
Oft the tears are flowing,
Oft they flow from my memory's treasure.
