A while ago now it didn't work out with someone I really liked and every now and then, and as it happens today I get all nostalgic about it, so I will join the
That you may love with all your heart and not necesarily be loved back!
Then to accept that you are powerless over someone's emotions.
You can't change some things. But there are worse things in the world if you look at things on a grander scale, and we all have a part to play in changing those things.
Therefore the love we have within us can be used as love for the many not just love for one particular person.
Nice hunky black king why not? I suppose if William married a beautiful African Queen and they had kids then they could be black and well there you might have your black king.
In sympathy with Ernie, I think it is absolutely scandalous to make people pay for hospital parking, it's like ripping people off when they are already suffering. Hospital parking should definitely be free. Sorry about your fine and your bother too!!
In answer to Ernie, I wish the answer wasn't to have to run from your home and country. i have lived abroad and it aint all easy, I can guarantee you that after the novelty wears off you will miss Britain even if it's only the pubs lol!
Not all Brits abroad try to fit in either, they often don't realise the necessity of learning the language of their new country and sometimes don't get to grips with the culture because of that !
Do understand the frustration that people are feeling. You all need to shout a bit louder and get a hearing!
If you're going abroad try to keep something in Britain in case it doesn't work out! You never know!
RESPECT is the key word here, there seems to be a distinct lack of it. When people enter another country they should have respect for the rules and laws.
The problem is that many immigrants come from countries where if they step out of line the discipline is tough. When they see they can get away with things because the punishment isn't hard, well........ they just start taking advantage of what they consider a laxist system !! Some cultures need and are used to more discipline than others.
As for asking immigrants to come work cheaply surely the government know that there is a price to pay i.e. providing housing and benefits etc, surely if the government did their accounts it doesn't really work out in their favour! Is it really cheap labour in the end?
Stay proud to be British, you're a really nice bunch of people. i can confirm that as I have lived abroad and you don't meet nicer thatn the British (well there are a few not so nice ones, but in general).
The thing about the British is that they are tolerent of perhaps too much and they moan in silence unlike the French who go up in arms about the slightest thing. The British don't want to get like that but the peolpe's voice needs to be heard!!!
Why do most immigrants cross France to get into Britain, because it's much harder for them to stay here, it's endless papers in France and the French are hot on ID. They need to tighten up the system in Britain, paper and admin are not pleasant but do have their purposes.
Looking at it from an immigrants point of view, if you had atough life somewhere and thought you could do better for yourself and your family, well you would probably do the same thing!!
Just stay nice, that's all, having lived abroad I can guarantee that you are!!!
I would never wish harm on anyone even if someone did harm to me, that has happened on occasion. I have noticed though that what goes around comes around. I definitely think that we reap what we sow. If someone purposefully does something bad to another they will probably pay the consequences in one way or another.
Never be revengeful and the situation will resolve in time.
What good advice. I need to get the balance right, I've always used my heart and that can get you into an awful lot of trouble. I've seen the error of my ways and will try to let good old common sense rule a little more. It's going to be difficult but necessary!!
Age may not matter at first when you meet someone and you are infatuated by the person, but a big age difference can cause problems after a while.
Have a freind who was married to a guy 17 years younger and one of the problems is that you don't share the same youth, you don't talk about the same music, films etc that you enjoyed when younger. It may seem a small thing but it makes you realise you were brought up in different eras.
I think my friend tended to feel like the guy's mother at times too.
The main problem is that you don't actually grow old together, one gets there way before the other, that needs a lot of thought too.
Even with all this quite negative imput I'm sure it can work for some people!
Wow interflite your dreams are really putting you to the test, you must wake up with your heart racing, there's nothing worse than that as you feel like you've been running all night when that happens!
Mybe you have some fears that you haven't overcome, maybe life has brought on those fears! I wish you sweet dreams from now on!
Steve I haven't received the package yet! but looking forward to the read!
Sometimes it can be a put off when someone chases too hard and fast at the beginning. Getting the balance right especially when the relationship is new can be difficult. It's hard to hold back the emotions but sometimes you just have to count to 100 before you react or even a thousand!!!
I really have been thinking about this question lately. My father's health is not good and I live far from my parents. They were the most loving of parents when I was a child and I feel I owe them everything now that they are getting frail. I live far from them at the moment and realise that I need to move closer.
I have complete admiration for Denise and anyone who looks after their ageing parents!
Thanks for making us think about the question Manetho!
I agree your dad definitely a wise man. It is just painful getting stronger sometimes!
