1. They are expensive - its an hourly rate and they would have to follow someone for a long time to get sufficient 'evidence'
2. Generally they don't like doing realtionship jobs
3. They are expensive
4. The don't like doing realtionship jobs
The other question that has to be asked, is does the person REALLY want to know, and to be told by a complete stranger that their fears are actually true. I am a great believer in not asking the question if you don't want / can't handle the answer.
A much simpler option is for your friend to ask outright, or if they are that insecure/suspicious in the relationship then to call it a day and move on.
The only result they will get from hiring a PI is to get hurt emotionally and financially.
The best way to avoid these calls is to simply say no thank you, 'engineering' a bad credit rating is a waste of valuable time, and what happens when you do want credit?
The idea of 'putting them on hold' seems to work, but then you need to create a really interesting 'soundtrack' for them to listen to..... screams, then chopping up of body, pleading for life, military strike task force talking in an attack on 'enemy base' something like that...... would certainly brighten up their day....
oh hang on, I'm just thinking of other ways to waste valuable time
Why are we all wallowing in our own self pity here? Sure, we've all been burnt, been there done that, but sitting moaning about it doesn't change things does it, either learn from the mistake and move on or accept that you are gonna go round the block and do it all again next time round.
Guys sitting here feeling sorry for ourselves doesn't make for attractive reading, we all want something positive in our lives but I for one ain't gonna be looking at someone who continually bemoans had hard done by they are etc. etc. etc.
Think about it, positive attitude is more attractive and constructive in our lives, forget fate playing cruel twists, its like the poster from despair dot com - face it the one consistent factor in all your failed relationships is you............ smile guys, this is meant to be fun.
Did it last year, moved to Latvia leaving everything behind............... a lot of friends were concerned I was moving to Russia :P but, apart from a few small chalenges it was probably the best thing I have done for a long time, a new start, meeting new people, discovering a new way of life.
Coming to blows for a woman who expresses an interest in another guy, nah, not gonna happen, you either end up looking like a bully (or worse still a wimp :P )
Of course at the end of the day its all down to a combination of factors and you might just decide to jump in and give the potential new guy a thump or two, but to be honest, doesn't look too impressive having to resort to violence, best to show her that if she's gonna wander then you ain't prepared to hang around and get mind f****d.
RE: Your day...
Unpacking the last of my boxes and getting my 'office' sorted, that and the celebratory cup of coffee :)
