I've always wondered about that one. Is it fate or whatever having a good laugh at our expense? Any thoughts on this one?

Yes, I have sometimes wondered about this in the past too.
I came to the conclusion that we either "always want the one we can't have" or it's "just fate playing a joke on us"..

Well I guess that's the hard part is finding some one who wants the same things and sees in you also all they are looking for just like you see it in them!!!!!!!!!
Although we may fall in love...The other person obviously has different ideas about a prospective partner...It's not us...It's just human nature...Finding mutual love is the hard part!!!!!!!!!
So I guess nobody can be faulted...Everyone has their wish for a prospective partner and it's not always gonna be us...Even though we may think it's them!!!!!!!!!

well i'm a firm believer that everyone who comes and goes from our lives leaves that little something that makes us the people we are today. we learn from the bad experiences and embrace the good ones - and remember, we all have to kiss a few frogs before we will find our prince/princess.

Why are we all wallowing in our own self pity here? Sure, we've all been burnt, been there done that, but sitting moaning about it doesn't change things does it, either learn from the mistake and move on or accept that you are gonna go round the block and do it all again next time round.
Guys sitting here feeling sorry for ourselves doesn't make for attractive reading, we all want something positive in our lives but I for one ain't gonna be looking at someone who continually bemoans had hard done by they are etc. etc. etc.
Think about it, positive attitude is more attractive and constructive in our lives, forget fate playing cruel twists, its like the poster from despair dot com - face it the one consistent factor in all your failed relationships is you............ smile guys, this is meant to be fun.

I agree..we have to stop wondering why others can't change for us and look at the change that we can make within ourselves in order to have a healthy...happy relationship...The commom denominator is US...So what do we need to do in order to attract the kind of partner we are looking for?????????
