I am an organ donor, as well as my body will be donated to Science for the studies in the Medical Field..
My husband passed away almost 2 years ago and his body was also donated to Science. Hopefully in the studies of his body they will find something which will help find a cure for Alzheimers, since he suffered with that for 6 years before his death.[/quote

I was just watching Oprah and part of the show was about organ donors...It showed the families of the donors as well as the recipents, it was so awesome to see the family of the donors as they met the person who their loved saved or helped. It just made me realize that I made the right decisions a few years back.
Imagine what a gift that would be to give of yourself to allow another to go on after your time has passed. The gift of a heart...
I made that decision 3 years back to donate my organs when that time comes.
