Oh I totally agree re the baptism of fire so far I've had nothing but positive experience on CS and some very nice inbox messages from nice people (with a couple of Nigerian scammers thrown in, which I've blocked immediately )
Just speaking generally oh and the reference to "gang" is a poor choice of word considering people have different perceptions of that word... for me "gang" just refers to a group of people in a club
Ugh NO. I am a girl with plain tastes, so a plain 9k gold band will do me, unless my guy is of low monetary means, in which case I will be happy to accept a toy ring
P.S I don't believe in wearing any expensive jewelery. Much less any jewelery at all, cos dis girl here is a working country gal, getting down and dirty daily
Being that there are many long time regulars on here, it must feel like being in a social club where newbies have to pass a 1000 thread test and their intelligence judged by a panel of sharp witted jaded gentlemen and gentlewomen, before they are accepted as one of the "gang"?
Is it kind of like "don't post or draw attention to yourself, unless you are spoken to, otherwise noses will be put out of joint" ?
How are you other newbies finding your experience on this site?
And for you "oldies" (kindly referred to as "regulars") do you find newbies to be a source of annoyance, amusement, vague interest or just tolerate them on a "as long as they don't comment on threads that aren't any of their business" ?
Please be gentle, I am still fairly (kinda) new to internet forum etiquette, and I cry easily (nah not really, I give back as good as I get, and have to bite my tongue most of the time crying is for sissies..... )
Anyhoo, before this turns into a bloody saga, I will leave it at that, but not before I shoot you this
Some of the big heads that think they're so smart and better than everyone, certainly needs to take these pills maybe it'll make them nicer to intellectually challenged people
Yes, if I got engaged I definitely want a ring I don't care if it's a $1 candy ring, and I don't want an ostentatious gem, but I want something to show I am taken, and keep stalkers and pests from bothering me
And I'd like my man to wear a ring to signify he is taken too... HANDS OFF, ladies!
P.S however I'll happily give up the one day of hearing, if I could get Sean Bean, Gerard Butler, Daniel Craig and Morgan Freeman as my neighbours my homemade scones will be my good excuse to visit them
Wow, that is interesting, as I have some very antique voluta seashells that I inherited from my stepdad, he was a shell collector. (also have many different types of shells, especially the big cowies)
Don't Post Until You're Spoken To...
