RE: Men after their 60's.

As long as one is fit and healthy they can want the same thing as anyone one else.

I'm not so much into casual encounters but I'm not a prude either - would do an occasional 3 some if in a committed relationship.

Mostly friends in interesting places or a special woman
or someone from a foreign country with a great pet my daughter would enjoy.

Is it ok to drive and listen to headphones?

1. I have a convertible and have to blast my stereo just to hear it

2. I do not live in a big city

3. It is not against the law to do so in Texas.

4. These would be OPEN style headphones that let in some outside noise (closed headphones keep noise out)

Obviously the answer is different if you are driving in the city.

RE: I AM A VERY LONELY MAN

Stainless - you live in NY and Cal where there are millions of single women and you're looking on here??

Get off the computer go to the store and say "Hi" and talk to the first attractive woman you meet. Be nice and eventually you will meet someone who wants a cup of coffee.

Um this advice doesn't apply if you are in SingSing (NY) or San Quentin (CA)

RE: would you 'sacrifice' your pet for your lover?

I suspect for many of these strange posters - pet and lover are the same thing. LOL kidding.

RE: Don't you just love hunters?

Why don't hunters have the courage to hunt each other instead of defenseless animals? Its not the overpopulation of deer that's the problem, its huge number of rednecks who drink, smoke and then breed.

RE: Bush Voted For Obama?

Don216 its one thing to be ignorant and another to demonstrate it for everyone to see.

The US Constitution was amended maybe 60 years ago to prevent more than two terms.

Perhaps the furthest away from home for you was Beeville or maybe you went to Corpus Christi once. Outside of redneck Texas Bush had about 15% approval rating by the end of his term. Don that means that 85& did not approve.

RE: My Island

I have one for sale - its 18 acres and really pretty - right outside of Rockport Texas

Are you really buying one or just looking for gold diggers?

RE: Interacial Dating

I care nothing about race. Its hard enough finding someone smart - open minded (not a redneck) honest and affectionate who doesn't smoke that why bother worrying about things that don't matter.

I've dated all races and many ethnicities it doesn't make any more difference than having a brown dog or a white one or a tan rabbit or an orange cat.

RE: Finally, i have decided to get married......

What - they don't have Golden Corral in Bangladesh?

Besides everyone in Bangladesh is hungry and if you get married you'll have to eat each other.

RE: Does anyone cook anymore?

My little girl is getting off the school bus in about 8 minutes. I will put fruit and soy milk in a blender and make her a healthy shake that she loves.

If I take it a step further and cook dinner... only the dog will be happy!

RE: Should a young girl love older men and not young?

I think something was lost in translation... Like everything lol

RE: Would you relocate for love?

Probably not. I still serve on a school board and my little girl lives with me and really likes her school. Besides it would have to be somewhere nicer, and I'm happy on the ocean.

I might be willing to relocate summers though.

RE: Are there any women who would date a single dad with four kids?

I've been a single dad for 17 years or so - women have no problem with it. Some weren't so fond of our pet possum Alex but he came with the family.

RE: ARE YOU JELOUS IN A RELATIONSHIP?

Jealousy is simply insecurity its not at all connected with love.

RE: Which country has the most attractive women.

wedward your comment is trite. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. DUH!

My point was that some countries have become somewhat obese and yes there are people who even find that attractive, but the average fit person doesn't..

That is why the US has dropped in my opinion.

RE: Which country has the most attractive women.

Twenty years ago I would have said the United States, however Americans have gotten quite a bit fatter over the years as have the people in some other countries. We do have a great mix.

Venezuela probably wins - but Taiwan had many good looking women as well. Costa Rica wasn't bad.

RE: when do you bring a new partner into your young childs life?

My daughter is 10 and she is used to my friends and girlfriends. I don't make a big deal of it and she's on the bottom floor of the house and I'm on the top.

Once I know someone is safe and normal enough - I can bring them home. I'm on good terms with all of my serious relationships over the past 10 yrs or so and - they may run into my daughter and its just like another friend.

RE: secession

Explain then why Perry has given us the largest budget shortfall in Texas history. Duck - I'll bet anything you never even looked at the Texas Budget.

At least Obama can blame Bush for the war and the previous record budget- Perry's been in for 10 years or so.

RE: Why...................

If you actually think about the answer-its probably that at the time people believed Columbus discovered America and he was part of white culture. The Native Americans were here and not part of this European Migration.

The government is hesitant to create any new holidays.

RE: Does anyone cook anymore?

I often cook for my little girl and when we eat out we eat healthy.

My pets love it when I cook for Hattie (daughter)because she often shares- guess I'm not a good cook.

RE: secession

IF we were a separate country we would be near the bottom of the western hemisphere in literacy and education. We would be way behind Cuba which has a literacy rate of 99%.

The federal govt gives us aid and sets some standards although both could be improved drastically.

There is no legal mechanism that would allow us to be a separate country anyway.

RE: San Antonio

I live in Rockport - where it seems most people in San Antonio vacation. Last time I had court in San Antonio the judge spotted me and asked "How will the fishing be this weekend?" I don't fish but have a pier.

RE: Did you know Albert Einstein actually believed in God

Wulfun and DMJ - you guys rock!

IF people were secure in their beliefs they wouldn't always be looking to push them on us.

If a dog takes a s--t and it looks like a cross - people will report "they saw a miracle" but they really ought to eat it...

RE: Bored in DFW

Denton has 50,000 college age kids - its one of the best places for young people in Texas.

GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER and go outside and say hello to someone.

RE: EVEN GOD LIKED THIS ONE

if people were secure in their beliefs they wouldn't try to push them on others.

This guy started two threads with the same junk.

"Faith is the suspension of reason"

RE: what is the problem with sa woman?

A stupid thread
because

1. Its doubtful anything is wrong with people in san antonio, they are pretty much like everyone else

2. There would never be enough response to get a decent sample

3. IF there was something wrong with them - they probably wouldn't know For example the original poster probably doesn't know how dumb his question is.

4. If they did know what was wrong with them - they probably wouldn't admit it - Ok he was told he was a dummy since 1st grade - but he didn't believe it till now.

LOL

Texas Biggest Embarrassment-Texas State Board of Education - your school district

Guess they dont do links on here
Although there's been widespread condemnation of the Texas State Board of Education for re-writing history and subjecting Texans to a host of ridicule, ultimately it is your school board — whether it be the Lubbock, New Deal, Slaton, or Idalou ISD — that has the responsibility under the Texas Education Code (Section 31) to decide our children’s instructional materials.

The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) is accepting resolutions to guide the policy for our 1,235 school boards for its upcoming September annual meeting.

Aside from local text selection, the boards could form their own statewide textbook selection committee choosing members who both have the requisite graduate degree in the relevant field and who assert they have no political agenda.

So far only one district has addressed this, but perhaps the Lubbock County ISDs — which also include the Shallowater, Frenship, Cooper and Roosevelt ISDs — will co-sponsor us.

The district that did take action was not from a large metro, minority or “liberal” area.

Aransas County ISD, approximately 550 miles southeast of Lubbock County, serves 26,500 mostly conservative and Republican constituents.

Making waves in this reserved coastal community is generally done by dolphins that swim by our inlets and pelicans splashing for fish.

As a parent, attorney, and school board member, I introduced the following:

“TASB strongly condemns the Texas State Board of Education for injecting politics, whether it be liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, into curriculum selection. Utilizing recognized experts, the SBOE should adopt a formal and politically neutral curriculum selection process.”

Board member Bill Rivera stated the most common objection to my resolution.

“There will always be politics, you can’t stop it.”

This awoke my 17-year-old son Huey, who during the indolent days between his May graduation and his start at the University of Texas is often still asleep at board meeting time.

Huey explained it’s not just some politics, but a wholesale revision. With 4.8 million Texas school children, the cost of textbook changes every time a fringe group gets control of our educational system would be prohibitive.

It also violates the spirit of the State Board of Education’s constitutional duty (Tx. Const. Art. 7 Sec. 3B) to provide free books for our children.

Gone are the days of state budget surpluses, and one way or another any new materials, would not be free.

Board member Sara, Walvoord, a retired Corpus Christi teacher, questioned:

“We are sending the state board a message, but Steve do you really want to smack them over the head with this “strongly condemns language?”

With former Principal James Piper nodding approval and remembering teacher-principal confrontations from my past, I did what almost every child confronted by authority does; I lied, and accepted the watered-down language.

Alas, the winds of change in Rockport will never match even the softest ocean breeze, but some district had to take the lead.

The Liberty Foundation, upon hearing what we were about to do, sent an Austin lobbyist to dissuade us, but he must have gotten lost in Rockport traffic and arrived an hour after the vote.

On this issue one person can make a difference. Call your local school board member to place this on their agenda.

For Texas to prosper, attract people and to ensure the best for our children, we don’t need liberal schools, we don’t need conservative schools, and we just need great schools.

Texas Biggest Embarrassment-Texas State Board of Education - your school district

Ok people are on here solely to find dates or get laid, but what the State Bd of Education has done is to humiliate our educational system and make us a laughing stock nationwide. Even the conservative Wall St Journal Poll had 93% against what the SBOE is doing.

I written a bunch of editorials around the state

here's one from the Lubbock Avalanche Journal.

A simple call or email to your school board member could help.

Here's an editorial the Corpus Caller-Times did after I got my board to denounce the State Bd.

RE: texas succession?

Texas has no current legal right to leave.

If it did it would be the most illiterate English Speaking Nation in Western Hemisphere and way behind Europe as well.

We would also be the most obese nation.

Forget it!
