RE: Brisbane dinner and drinks night AUGUST 1 ( saturday night )

I know I said I'd come last time, but got a serious case of the shy's and didn't.

So this time, I'll say I'd like to come but as I'm now working at the Hospital, it'll depend on my roster - which isn't out yet. I will put in a request for the WE off though.

By the sound of it, though, looks like I'll be the oldest there if Bubbles isn't coming. Never mind, I can rage with the best of 'em. Had a ball at Family (Brisbane) on my daughter's 21st!

As I say in my profile "If you never have a go, you never know" or words to that effect!

Here's hoping I can make it! drink pouring dance boogie

RE: rate the person above you,in any aspect you feel like...!!!!

Weather - Friggin' Freezin' here in Toowoomba ATM - telling a lie it's actually 8C in my kitchen at the mnoment. Was -0.08 yesterday morning. So relatively warm right now!! lol. Usually about 20C during the day though. Mind you it is WINTER!! It's better on the coast, but we are up on the Great Dividing Range (680m above sea level) so it has got to be cooler. Less humidity too. Thank God!

It your bro ever gets to Brisbane or Toowoomba tell him to give me a call. I've always got a spare room for tavellers - 07 4639 5920. What goes around comes around!!

Cheers for now - I'm off to my bed and the electric blanket!!!ZZZZZZZZZZZ Nice talking with you!

RE: rate the person above you,in any aspect you feel like...!!!!

Uptall - you look rather sad and forlorn in your photo - JMO

RE: loaylty

Well said Tina!

As does Love. How can you love (or even like and respect another if you have none for your own self?

I believe that in these days of 'instant gratification' and obsolete consumerism, knowing oneself deeply enough and well enough for love, respect, honesty and loyalty must come first. No question about it! Too few of the walking wounded are even aware of these necessities. Hence broken hearts, domestic violence, kids in care, property theft and random damage etc etc etc the list goes on and on.

Why are we so? Anyone have any answeres?? dunno frustrated confused

RE: no more lonely nights.....or more lonely nights?

Damn! Why are you so far away??? Come to Australia and pass outside my door, I will certainly invit you in!heart wings

RE: Can a person truly, spiritually fall in love by email?

I think that if you 'fall in love spirtually' on here you must have the ability to look past what is presented in the flesh and look more to what you first fell in love with in that perosn. If the chemistry was there in print, why will it not be there when you converse in person? JMO

RE: hi how are you?

Hey John - Welcome to the Lurve Club! Wishing you all th ebest in your search but the forums are more fun!!

RE: Ladies

RE: What is too needy?

I think some people are simply emotional vampires and suck iit out of wherever they can find it.

Soemtimes, though, it might be just a little help along the way. But if it continues and becomes all consumeing get the garlic out! lol

RE: ROBBING THE CRADLE

Very good points KHD. But what if she is just feeling her biological clock?? She may not be rationally thinking of the father's input other than biological. I admit this is a totally selfish point of view (not my own - just playing Devil's Advocate!)

If it is as above, then she will be yet another single parent (may be nothing wrong with that - I raised 3 kids virtually on my own whilst studying for BNsg and Master of Midwifery - certainly did them no harm and I think gave them a good work ethic - they are beautiful young adults now BTW, no hang ups)

RE: Ladies

whaaat -You seem to be promoting violence?? Yet you say you wouldn't wast your energy. What goes?

Personally, I find violence totally abhorrent and will never demean myslef to that level.

RE: Are you old enough?

Thanks for bringing this subject up Damian. Very relevant on this site!

I will be 57 in 2mths time and find that the vast majority of men in my "age bracket" are very boring!!! I want to get out there and have fun! I want to stay up all night talking or 'whatver'. Just coz I'm 3yrs off 60 doesn't mean I'm dead! I think too, that a lot of people have forgotten how to have fun, how to be kids again and enjoy life. Let's face it, the kid in us never dies! It just gets buried under whole heap of crap that life throws at us. Ir we can keep 'the kid' alive, we're winning hands down!

So, really, age does not matter one whit! As long as you both can relate to the child within.

RE: A new word starting with the last letter of the word above - No 4

RE: Wanna write a story?

Hmmm, he thought, I wonder if the honey of the Domian bees can cure this awful swelling? Dare I even attempt to get close enough? Is not one sting, one too many? Ah, but the magic elixir of the Domian honey bee is ronowned throughout the Galaxy..................What would Edna do?

RE: Wanna write a story?

Maybe, he thought, I have been stung by one of the Domian bees?

RE: Do you think Barack Obama is actually constitutionally eligible to be elected president?

Besides which, who the fark really cares what "religion" he follows as long as the country is run in the right direction (according to the mass). Religion is like skin colour. The point being - we all love our children, we all have hearts that pump red blood, most of us have five fingers, five toes, one head, two lungs etc. We are all human beings, with different tastes and that is what makes the world go round! Be a pretty damn boring world if we were all the same!!!

RE: Do you think Barack Obama is actually constitutionally eligible to be elected president?

Is that all you have to say about my previous post????

Is it truly in keeping with the 'thread'?

RE: Do you think Barack Obama is actually constitutionally eligible to be elected president?

oops - Americans

RE: Do you think Barack Obama is actually constitutionally eligible to be elected president?

Personally, I would find this really liberating!!! I can't see it happening though, as most Australians are even more xenophobic than Amerians!!!
