Do you think Barack Obama is actually constitutionally eligible to be elected president? There are a number of legal challenges winding their way through the courts regarding this. If Obama is not a naturally born citizen, he is not eligible to run for president. If he held a dual citizenship he is not eligible. And if that is true, Obama is a fraud.

Oddly, despite this issue surfacing many times during his campaign, Obama has not taken the opportunity to put the issue to rest once and for all. If he is legally eligible, why would he not respond and end the controversy?

World Net Daily reports ":Lawyers and plaintiffs in a multitude of lawsuits also have asked why, if a birth certificate actually reflects that Obama was born in Hawaii, has he spent sums estimated by observers of up to $1 million hiring various law firms
to keep concealed his birth certificate, his college records and other documentation"

So, what do YOU think? I think it is weird that Obama has not resolved this. I would have.

So you think he is ineligible to be president? And if this is true- I guess Biden could become president?

I wonder how this would actually work itself out. Could be bad.

Is this question too much 'old' news for CS?

Earlier I had wondered about it during the campaign, then I concluded he must be legally eligible.

But I have read more and more about these efforts to get a legal opinion and finally resolve the issue. Is it resolved for you??

I still question his 'status' but the country seems hell bent on going down the crapper anyway so let him lead the way.

Lights, would you have preferred McCane/Palin? What do you think McCane would have done differently from Obama by now? Do you think even if it was shown that Obama had dual citizenship that the congress or whoever would vote to impeach him with the country in the position it's in at the moment. I think Ken Starr graphically demonstrated what a waste of time & money it is to impeach a sitting president on such flimsy grounds.

Besides I have no doubt if the might of the Republican party couldn't prove Obama isn't a citizen during the campaign when it would have been possible to discredit him immensely, they certainly wouldn't wage such a losing battle now that he's been elected by a landslide.

Let it go pal, it's over. You're just making yourself look like a sore loser. If you have anything constructive to offer regarding the economy or the debacle in Iraq or Afganistan, I urge you to write to your elected official and give him/her your ideas. I'm sure they would love to hear from you and I'm not being sarcastic.

There is no legal problem so long as Obama releases copies of the pertinant data. If he does so, the argument is mute. End of story!
