I really sooo hoped that the doors of that helicopter would open and the marines would chuck shrub female and shrub mal out of it - just muck, not needed anymore..... ooops... I am just soo evil
Obama's speech is exceptional - he is slamming Shrub's legacy ever so subtle and it is hitting home - just look at Shrub's face - he knows that he is done in !!!!
We all should have a leader like Obama in our governments - this would really make the world go forward !
Obama just took the oath - and only because he did it a bit hastily could everybody see, that he was emotional and as excited as everyone if not even more - he really is a nice and neat guy, he seems to be the best they ever could get - human and humane
I wish him the best from the bottom of my heart !!!!
... am watching the inauguration this moment and tears of emotion run down my face - I truly believe that there is history being written today and that we finally all can look forward and go into a world which CAN be unified !
uhm, do you want to move in with him right away or do you just want to chat?
I wonder what that is with people, not just here but in real life, too....I have my flat, they have their flat and one starts dating...where is the problem ? Are these people sooo desperate to meet someone just to be moving in together = this will take time and once one gets to meet in real life, there are still other things to think about than "oh my gosh, he/she got a child" ... if it fits, it will fit with the child, too.
Why putting yourself and him under such pressure ??? Take one step at a time
One more thought: here in Germany teenager's are allowed to drink at an earlier age than they are able to get their driver's licenses.... I think that is one way to prevent too many youngsters to drink and drive... because the whole drinking thing is already done and over with being something new and so within those two years - from sixteen, where they are officially permitted to drink while being with an adult - until 18, when they are permitted to do their driver's license, they hopefully have come to their senses....
I appreciate your - and all of your comments and answers, and it sure raises some more questions.
When I grew up I did spend some of the holidays at my aunt's and uncle's place and my auntie used to give me once in a while a bit of egg-nogg over my ice-cream or some cake, but it still did not make me a binge-drinker... also, at home I can remember from the age of about 11 or 12 I was sitting in the beertent during festivals either with my Mum or with my brothers and friends and they all let me have some of their beer and it was not a big deal. And also on Christmas and New Year's eve, as far back as I can remember did we get bubblies or wine or something...but we - my three brothers and I - all turned out to be almost non drinkers...
I guess, what I am trying to say, it is in the German's culture to be raised with alcohol always being a part in our lives but we also are responsibly raised around it.... at least in my part of Germany back then, that is....
Please read first before you start jumping me for this question:
I am just trying to understand different cultures and different takes on things and have always wondered why the British and Irish drink so much and why every weekend has to be spend in a pub drinking with a terrible hangover on the next day - doesn't it spoil the whole weekend ?
I had seen a documentary by BBC the other day, where they were showing the binge-drinking youth in England and the problems which stem from it...
Look, I am half German and Bavaria is actually where my Mum is from = for those not knowing it: Bavaria is THE heaven for beer lovers ! Even in our constitution it says that beer is bread...
But I can't remember that when we were young were drinking soo much each weekend...we were doing things, outings with the motorbikes, camping and campfires, swimming etc. Now, I can imagine, when it is cold and rainy that one would rather sit inside a pub, but what about having to drink too much ?
Just wondering about your answers, not trying to step on tows, mind you.
But you are doing the right thing if you are putting yourself out there and let them see that you are the great girl who everyone can see in the photo... you are ok, lady
See, there I would have definitely to dis-agree with you: In the workplace I have never found the Americans to be rude, matter of fact, I really appreciate the politeness even in the aisle of a supermarket (despite what my stalker here thinks of me, I really am aware of some of the good traits an American citizen possesses )
I am back in Germany four years now and am still aghast at how rude Germans are in the workplace and everywhere. Once I stood waiting for a bus, no-one around, when it came it stopped right in front of me, guess who was the last to be in?
British and American colleagues are among my favourite co-workers and I thank them for their way of seeing things.
Isn't it funny how the mob is bashing in on me in my thread and calling me names and anti-semitic and whatever else - and you really are saying the same thing and people love ya ---- go figure
Thank you Jan, I could not have said it better - to be honest, I did not even want to respond to those posters - they did not and would never get it. I could have said again and again the same as you just did, it would not have done one good. So, I just let it go. Not worth it.
I am just so happy for the people of the US and all of us
I really sooo hoped that the doors of that helicopter would open and the marines would chuck shrub female and shrub mal out of it - just muck, not needed anymore..... ooops... I am just soo evil
