I knew it was huge. I also knew it wasn't always a desert. It is believed cutting trees and overgrazing by sheep was responsible for the change from green grass and trees to sand and desert. BTW what happened to all the trees in the UK and Ireland? I watch shows on netflix or the British Open and I never hardly see any trees? Scotland seems particularly barren.
I'm planning a trip in July to San Christobal de las cases in the southern most state of Chiapas in Mexico. Elevation is 7,200 ft. above sea level. And since it was founded in 1542 I think it is the oldest city in the new world. I think a lot of tourists from Europe go there. The only bad thing is that it is in one of the most lawless areas of Mexico. Two cyclists from Europe were murdered last year, one was beheaded and the other shot, and the Mexican government tried to cover it up and say they died from being run off the road and into a ravine. Also a group of tourists were traveling to the Mayan ruins in Palenque from San Christobal last year when their cars were stopped by a road block. They were robbed by 18 men with assault rifles who spoke an Indian dialect. And as you can imagine the solve rate for crimes is pretty abysmal in Mexico. Oh well, only adds to the sense of adventure.
`If I understand correctly they are being allowed to apply for asylum while they remain in Mexico. I think the US holding facilities are already full to capacity. Besides Mexico has graciously offered asylum if that is want they want.
I'm by no means an expert harbal, but I think Jesus taught that people should obey the law. And if that's true then praying for him to help you break the law would be unlikely to be successful.
RE: Which desert do you prefer?
