It might depend on how much mercury they have in their systems. Mercury is a diamagnetic so it probably wouldn't work to well on most fish, with the steelhead being one of the notable exceptions.
Legalizing drugs doesn't really take them out of the hands of criminals. High taxes and expensive permits and government regulations unwittingly help keep the black market alive and well, at least in the USA.
If you are interested in how legal marijuana is working out so far in California, I suggest taking a look at Murder Mountain, a documentary currently on Netflix. It's an interesting look at how the marijuana growing industry was started by hippies in Humboldt County, CA, and how it turned dark when medical marijuana was legalized, and what legalizing recreational has and is doing. It's pretty interesting.
Hi Berry......... I think the real culprits are the people who start the political threads and blogs,and there is ample evidence that's coming from both sides. I don't recall Conrad starting political threads but I could be wrong. I have noticed people seem to be either outraged or amused, depending on whose ox is being gored. But I agree it has turned into a net negative for the site.
