Actually, no I don't. The comment is directed at you, you old fart. Do you ever get off the CS forums? Is this your entire life? Posting drivel and trolling other people's threads?
This is exactly to the point. America has a 'gun culture' Switzerland doesn't, even tho arms per capita is similarly high. It's a culture thing. Police in the US are trigger-happy, because in every tense situation they enter, one or more protagonists are going to be packing something. In that environment, it's a 'shoot-first, ask question later' type of approach. When everyone is armed, and an argument breaks out, it becomes a potential a war zone. The founding fathers had muskets in mind, not AR15's.
Which is the greatest love story ever told? Romeo and Juliet? Samson and Delilah?...lol. Ryan O'Neil and Ali McGraw? Here's the last note Leonard Cohen wrote to his longtime muse as she lay dying:
“Well Marianne, it’s come to this time when we are really so old and our bodies are falling apart and I think I will follow you very soon. Know that I am so close behind you that if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine. “And you know that I’ve always loved you for your beauty and your wisdom, but I don’t need to say anything more about that because you know all about that. But now, I just want to wish you a very good journey. Goodbye old friend. Endless love, see you down the road…"
What i had in mind was more eating alone after working hours, dinner at a 'serious' restaurant, not a diner. In that context, a solo diner is more conspicuous. I don't know why, but a scene from 'As good as it gets' comes to mind. ??
Happiness depends less on externals, than internals. Generally speaking, you are as happy as you make up your mind to be. Happiness is an attitude. The strength to keep going must come from within. Live in the moment.
It's interesting to note, that comments-wise, apart from the usual poisonous input from the knuckle-dragging bonehead, not single woman has chimed in to voice her opinion on the attractiveness of handymen. Maybe I have this all wrong...
Anybody want to buy a Parkside drill set, with matching 100 bits - never used.
