Expect in the future programmes online available to all, that create a 3D avatar that can function as a clone of yourself. It speaks, it replies, it has opinions. You can 'speak' thru that avatar, and never pay the price for your statements. There is a firewall between you and your online avatar. We are entering the Age of Deception.
But you see....the insatiable appetite for sensation and drama that fuels the media is a irresistible drug for those who want to make money out of their stories. it's like the cheese in the mouse trap. She is playing a deadly game.
On a serious note (rare for me, admitted) AI is a serious threat to world peace. In fact, AI is a serious threat to everything because the world runs on the information we consume. AI can reengineer that entire paradigm. I'm worried and appalled.
To be immune for the normal, gut-level, knee-jerk reaction to first impression, which means dress, facial characteristics, status in society, job, public info regarding job/income/position of influence, job title, the car one drives, the label on your jacket, the logo on your bag....all these signals we are conditioned to read and acknowledge. It's a brand world, you bloody serfs, you are owned and commanded by the One Percent....tug your forelocks, and take a knee!
