Friskyone: Does jealously have value in driving people to improve themselves or, is it a purely negative emotion?

If jealousy is severe that turns into obsession then it is negative emotions (could be dangerious).

If there is a mild emotion of jealousy and if the potential victim does not like that emotion, then the jealous person can improve by understanding and learning better ways to express his/her emotion.
