The Unions eventually screwed us over because of this:
Demanding high wages for unskilled labor. For example, the unskilled assembly line workers making $10 more per hour than other non- uskilled workers when the unskilled union workers are doing less work for their money than the non union workers are doing for their money.
If we could keep this up forever that would have been great! But how long do you think it would take for corporation execs. to see the untapped resources south of the border who would be extatic to work for 2 tortillas per hour? The wage bubble was going to burst sometime....
I thought Sicko was a an honest potrayal of our health care problems. What really really really made me angry was the story about the little girl dying because the hospital wouldn't treat her.
I know these things happen in real life and I love Michael Moore for showing it to the world.
As for the health care system in England and France? I'm not so sure he was telling the Whole truth...
I met this guy at about a 1.5 years ago at the community college. He was an instructor of mine but not any more......
There was some touchy-feelyness when no one was looking. I know and I can feel a strong attraction between us (butterflies, electricity, fireworks). I love how his cheeks turn pink when he smiles when I tell him he looks nice today. He is not married and he doesn't have children. but when it comes to personal talk (home, weekends etc.) he gets flustered and walks away.
The semester is over, now. I will not see him until September. What can I do to get past this flustered awkwardness? He does not drink alcohol or anything with caffeine, and he is very particular about what he eats.
our government may never forgive Cuba for making fools out of them. After all, the U.S. helped Fidel gain power and then he turned and gave his allegience to the commies.
Not to mention all the failed assassination attempts the U.S. made........
Lets face it Fidel made the U.S. government look like a bunch of idiots....
RE: Employment in Michigan....
I am going to get totally bashed for this I know! But ONE of the ones to blame are the Unions.
