FargoFan: Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned (or did I miss it?) Many of us have trolls who follow leaving one-liner abuse in our own blogs. Of course we can delete their comments, as I regularly do, but that's a bind. We should be able to exclude them or make them invisible to ourselves, as an extension of the block feature for email.
sdarlagg: wow Oh my gosh, you are one to cry about that. And here I've thought forever that my own hypocrisy is unrivaled. rolling on the floor laughing
FargoFan: On topic, do you think? And did you think the comment actually made any sense? Perhaps you did! I doubt you have actually visited any of my threads, and if so never left a comment either memorable or forgettable.
sdarlagg: rolling on the floor laughing ok instead of a one-liner abuse statement you are now up to a three-liner. wine ... undsoweiter...
On topic? Abuse? And which word, words or sentence do you consider abuse? I assert I displayed considerable restraint, although words like 'ignorance' and 'illiteracy' and 'incomprehensible' were on the tip of my tongue, so to speak, you'll agree they do not appear in that response. Cease this and try to make a contribution to the topic. Perhaps they could implement 'irrelevance detection' - do you think that a worthy suggestion?

the chatroom used to be a feature of filipinofriendfinder / asiafriendfinder / chinafriendfinder / japanfriendfinder but all the friendfinder sites are empty shells now, since about 2010. The chatrooms still exist but are empty, and the blogs only have one or two posters nowadays. I joined those sites in Dec 1999 and for the first 8 years they were very lively - often quite nasty and abusive but still you could block the abusers. I haven't seen a good chat room for a long time.
in the four years of Trump he was never a world leader, and scarcely a leader of his own country, more a destroyer of status and agreement. A tearer down of cooperation. Trade agreements Nuclear arms limitations. A destroyer and nothing like a builder.
Well is not Donald Trump THE defining of current US. On the one hand you say 'Follow the USA lead' - what LEAD is that pray tell, if not Donald Trump and abortion and exclusion of muslims? Huh? And Build back better - what is that if not the Biden legislation passed by the house but rejected by the senate? I am both bemused and amused.
Utter nonsense. Do you actually have any idea what you are talking about? The previous government did somewhat shadow the US push in that direction, and several EU countries demonstrate such tendencies. Curb your ignorance. On topic: It is to be hoped the American polarisation will moderate and commonsense emerge come November 2024. But who in their right mind thinks America has been in its right mind these last 8 years? The America of the 21st century is a country none should follow the lead of.
And is not the current US situation dominated by the speculation as to whether that same imbecile will be selected to stand, and possibly be re-elected as president? What is more current than that?
As a 78 year old the answer is obvious - or is it? And what is meant by 'date'. If there were significant financial reasons for it, why not form a relationship? Let's leave jig-a-jig out of the question, and suppose there are joint family reasons, or mutual interest or institutions ... sure! I could do it the reverse way too, as the older party, acknowledge the property or financial aspects and tie up. What has Rupert Murdoch done after all, and did not Wendi Deng achieve significant benefit from her decision. So the answer in a nutshell is - it could be possible. Mind you, I don't have wealth power or influence, so I strongly recommend not dating me is you are south of 50!
Doesn't get it? the disease of stupidity? Well I've been inocculated with a dose of common sense, something glaringly lacking in your one clause throwaways. What I do get, in spades, is that the path of this century's America is errant and to be avoided. When a measure of sense will return, who can say. You seem to like to dispense witless jibes Herr Konrad, but never have I seen you say anything of substance or relevance - just the feeble ad hominem attacks. Best you have to offer is it? How about something on topic?
@op does following the USA lead include choosing an inept lying hypocritical ignoramus to lead them, potentially twice even. Brings that expression 'fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me' doesn't it.
No way I would vote on such a self-serving biased poll. Of course one does not want another term with an aging leader, but the apparent alternative is equally, nay more, horrendous. One would far prefer to see US develop some commonsense and select serviceable candidates.
As to American English vs British English - American English speakers far outnumber UK Canada Aust NZ ... not until you add India Pakistan Nigeria does the balance change. Should we not judge American English as the dominant form? Just a thought.
It must have been the last day of primary school, playing basketball (don't think I've landed a shot in my lifetime), went home to discover we now had hot water, connected to the shower in the laundry. 'Go have a shower, we're going out'. So what a joy, a delight, my first ever hot shower, boy did I love it - splashed water everywhere. Only to get a beating for it, for keeping them waiting. Never forgot or forgave him for that, and I should have refused to accept it.
