ooby_dooby: Everybody has wonderful childhood memories, many of us also have some really bad memories from when we were kids. These are the ones you probably would like to forget but you can't. One of mine happened when I was in grammar school, 4th grade. All of my teachers were middle aged white women. I didn't have a male teacher until I was in JHS 7th grade, if that wasn't a big enough change, he was also black. Anyway, I was always full of energy and one day my 4th grade teacher decided to use me as a prop to discipline the class. She separated me from the rest of the students and, pointing a bony finger at me asked "You don't wanna be like Him, do you"? How can a grown up do that to a kid? She made me feel like a worthless POS.
I thought about telling my mother what happened, but didn't, because I knew that she would have gone to the school and what she would've done to that teacher would have landed her behind bars.

I had a teacher who made fun of my last name...it isn't an English or French name...I told him off after I found out he made fun of my last name...was told to leave the classroom prior...
Anyways...my mother knew I wasn't going to school...got suspended for swearing at the teacher in class due to his name calling...she found out and threatened the principle...the teacher got three weeks suspension due to his bad behaviour too...lol...

My worst childhood memories are getting severely beaten with a belt by my stepfather and when I was an adult him saying he was sorry he adopted me.

Worst memories involved being disciplined in Catholic schools I attended for accidentally choking my classmate with his tie until he passed out and after I broke the natural gas line to the lab bench in my high school chemistry class.

ooby_dooby: That might be true only if I had acted on it by making advances toward her. I didn't because I knew it would be wrong. Years later we made contact again. By then both of us had been married and divorced and we got together and became an item. We even bought a house together and lived together for several years. She wanted to get married but I didn't because I had already been married & divorced twice and didn't want to go through that again. She too had gone through a failed marriage so she understood my fear.

You failed to mention why the teacher used you as a prop, she comes across as intelligent, and clearly uses you as a warning to the other kids, I commend her for that. Mom hung sheers in my bedroom. I told her I didn't like those curtains. She said she did and that was that. So I being young, got the brain storm that if I got scissors and cut into them, she would view them as ruined and take them down.
She saw what I had done and was very sad. Said why did I do that to them. I told her my idea. She said no, they stay. She got a needle and thread and sewed the small couple of cuts up. Those curtains stayed up til I was a teen I think. Sorry I made you sad mommy. You only thought to make my room pretty.
