agreed . . but let's say we look into a venue, do some real costings, open a thread to find out who's interested and if the numbers are encouraging, we (?)organise. WOT U DINK DEN ?
can't bank on a balmy night and the sea being calm . . . an idea could be - depending on the numbers - take on a venue with music and make it a private party for CS people (with partners for the singles who aren't single !) Food can be finger nibbles (as in a wedding reception in Malta) with a buffet style dinner and champers at midnight. Not neccessarily very posh but celebrating together is the main motive. huh ?
