I have become very local here, rarely venture more than 30 km up or down along the road. First time in my life people recognise me more than three blocks away. A great little town of 15k peps, no more
I often stop and talk to people who seems distraught or just generally out of "guidance". What I have learnt is to be weary of those who carry a sign with them, they are the ones that most often has come through as less honest about there situation.
I say weary, because, I still talk to them.
Of course, I live in Hippie land, and here they people looking for a supporting hand now and then, generally are in true need and are not dangerous to approach.
Don't you laugh more often at MS than Linux? I know I smile like after a good night full of --- when I have set up a Linux box, but with MS I get a grin as if I am at the dentist.
Every so often the Help screen pops up, and wants to suggest a solution.
First suggestion - "did you check the cable?"
- Erhh... its a wireless network card, mate
"Did this suggestion help you"
- Erhh... not really
"I am sorry, Help can not help you with this problem. Do you want to send a report to Microsft support?"
- Erh... well, ok.
"Can not reach Support page, check your internet connection"
