Yes, I was counting childhood indoctrination as being a believer. It could have worked either way...you could have become a zealot instead of an atheist....somewhere along the line you took an informed decision
My 2c worth....most atheists were believers some day....something made them stop believing. So it would take more than a mere mortal to get them to start believing again.
Still treat us like babies....you're joking!! Whenever I go see my mum the first thing that she says...oh you're looking very thin, are you eating?
I not underweight... just right for my height but according to her I need fattening up. The next day she calls me and says' I have cooked some pasta just the way that you like it...come and have some.' And I go because otherwise I wont hear the end of it. Then she puts enough food in my plate that 3 men wouldn't eat and complains that I didnt eat it all!!
Fully understand....been there and sure that I will be there many more times. My mum has the same mentality....on both my son who, by the way, is 30 years not 30 months old and 'the find yourself a man' situation of your friend!!
No real phobias ...but about 2 years ago I fell about 12 feet and dislocated my hip bone and since then I get very nervous when ever I look down from any height
I like... and will start using this technique during meetings. I'm sure that the people in the meeting will start wondering what the heck i'm smiling about...if they only knew
