Sorry to hear that you were an unknowing 'other' person. There are a lot of persons here and in real life that state that they are single when in fact they are not.
However I do wonder if there are people out there who have knowingly been the 'other' person, any one?
Yes, what drives me mad is folk saying 'oh but you are so lucky...you have everything'. they dont realise that that 'everything' is all due to hard work and a few sacrifices along the way.
Lucky in my definition is when you get something without putting any effort in, like winning the jackpot....you never know I might still get lucky....still hoping anyway!!
Hi, Thanks Yes to both your questions. I wont ever renovate another house..it took to much of my energy. But the final result is what I envisioned when I first saw the house and I am very happy with it. At that time the village people thought I was nuts for renovating the house instead of demolishing it and rebuilding it.
Malta is only about 20 miles long and 8 miles wide....very small just the size of a small town in any large country and yet variations of the langauage exist. You could say that each village has it's own dialect which differs greatly from its neighbouring villages.
The house was in a state, had been unlived in for 12 years but was still structurally sound. The first task was strip the walls from all the plaster and paint that had accumulated during it's 400 years....inches and inches of plaster.. to reveal the lovely old uneven stone beneath. Then removed all the wiring, plumbing, floor tiles etc including part of the roof that was concrete....until only the walls and the roof remained. Tore down walls between rooms, enlarged the windows, opened new doors.
Today after four years from the first day that I set foot in it the house is a mix of old and new...old stone walls and newly plastered walls, antique furniture and modern furniture. Kept all the original features and anything that I added on was done to complement the existing features....like putting in large stone slabs for the roof instead of concrete.
The style that I used to decorate is minimalistic ...it shows the beauty of the old stone to perfection.
Yes, cs is very addictive especially when you have time on your hands. As to finding love on cs....doubt it!!! My feet are firmly on the ground...if it happens i'll start a thread
As with most addictions it is usually too late when you realise that you've become addicted!! And breaking the addiction can be as hurtful as for any other addiction
Dont know you or anyone else on this thread.. but your comments, dear lady, show that you have an attitude problem.
Having never lived in South Africa I know very little about South Africa expect for what is reported on the news. But don't coloured South Africans also kill each other because they don't belong to the same tribe. Or is this only a figment of the imagination of the news reporters? Or are these crimes actually carried out by what you have called 'white South Africans' and atributed to the helpless coloured people of South Africa
Just once would be enough, once I know that you have lied then I will continually be looking for other lies ... with the possibility of finding lies where there are none.
It is the power of the driller that makes it difficult for us women to handle. I tried to drill some holes once too and the driller seemed to have a will of its own - I just could not control it. I saw an advert some time back for a power drill targeted for women. It even had a real nice looking carrying/storage case in pink!!!
