RE: Charlie Hebdo

Learning to take a talk will help one live life full. remember that freedom of expression itself is not only the means but the end in itself. For some, right to freely express oneself is tantamount to having a faith. There may be questions arise about how far one could go in terms of practicing this right. There are legal guidelines to it but being a responsible adult entails possession of a level of patience, tolerance, understanding others, and sense of responsibility. Life is already a complex and tortuous journey through millions of happenstances. We might not agree upon what comes afterward but we all should surely agree upon the common denominator which is what our senses tell us, that we are alive. From this, we may draw some definite conclusions about how we should live our lives and how we should behave toward each other. Preservation of lives preempts all other concerns. Once again, learning to take a talk is a mark of being a mature human being. Being able to tune out what you don't want to hear is a mark of being a sensible human being. There is a bright sunshine outside at the moment of this writing and I intend to go outside and enjoy the warmth of the nature. Wish everyone a great and fruitful day!

RE: why America wants to attack Iran?

Not worth a comment on this topic. This is like talking about which came first, egg or chicken.

RE: RIddle

your questions was wrong. the Maid supposed to have gone to the post office. Post office closes on Sundays.

RE: 11 September 2011: do you still remember what you did on that day?

I was in New York. I was driving down Van Wyck. It was my niece's birthday. I picked up a birthday cake for her and was on the way to Staten Island. I saw along the horizon a smoke coming out of one of the two towers. I immediately pull over into one of the side roads and started driving toward Manhattan because the whole highway started jamming up. It took for me 2 hours to get to the direct opposite side of Hudson River. By the time I got there the towers had already collapsed and All I could see was no towers just a big black plum of smoke in their places. A lot of fine ashes coming down and layered my car. I saw a bunch of people coming across to safety over the Brooklyn Bridge. I stood there for like long time with a thousands of others gazing toward the sites.

A few days later I volunteered to work at the site. Nothing much came out of it. I geared up and left to the Javit Center in Mahattan. There were hundreds of would-be volunteers all about. They told us that there are professionals to handle the sites so they didn't needed our help. However, I just hung around there one full day.. and gave as much my hands as they needed.

God bless the victims of 9-11.

You are so cool

RE: What i suppose to do?

I know my dime usually doesn't figure much not her I throw one for once. Seeking happiness depending on others usually is met with less than felicitous outcomes. instead of going through prolonging emotional turmoil, it might help to find a machanism to ferret out what the truth is about this relationship of yours. Expedite it and don't waste energy and time over it.

RE: I need some help....

The odds are she is a scam. Even if she's real, she is no good. If she were a good catch, she would have invited him. She is only after money.

RE: Iranian court rule "an eye for an eye" - Was justice served?

Nobody should do such a thing to another human being.

RE: Irreducible complexity and Intelligent design

Are we really able to think what it would be like not to be able to think no more? Without the ability to think, what would it mean to have a soul? Does that mean soul is devoid of any kinda self-awareness? if soul is devoid of self-awareness, what makes it different from fire, water, earth and air?
If a soul has self-awareness, should it be considered as alive?
if it is alive, then it isn't dead? does that means we will never die? If we don't die......
too early in the morning to think much further... maybe I am dreaming..

RE: "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." Albert Einstein.

We all live in an illusion that we are beyond what we are.
At the same time, the blame falls on the Creator for having
created us in such a profound and intricate way that we could
attain happiness from the illusion. For that, science
without religion is lame, religion without science is blind to
the reality.

RE: Gaza !! Israel kills civilians ,, among international silence .. What do you think ? share !

I agree with you Nora!
Can you tell us what would be the solution to the problem?
isn't that where the problem is????
nobody knows what to do...
but just to fight to death..
Humanity!!!

RE: Gaza !! Israel kills civilians ,, among international silence .. What do you think ? share !

Oh well, if someone comes into my house and take my wife, kids and house, then i will have to do what i have to do. Nobody should be allowed to mess up with my family. That is a basic human right.
Having said that, the world would be way better place if people learned to live peaceful among each other.
So, I have to say I share your frustration and discontent.
However, killing should never be a solution to anything.
Will it stop? Never. We as humanity have no hope. For you to believe in there is justice in this world would be like believing the existence of Peter Pan and Santa Clause. Sad, very Sad.
Why question what is so obvious and there's no solution?
Contraditions exist everywhere. That is life and life without contraditions is no life. I am very disappointed in humanity and what is going on around the world. That doesn't mean that I shouldn't live my life. Once again, sorry that your people are powerless in this matter. sorry that your people have your house taken away. There is no justice in this world. Full of contraditions. I don't know what situation you are coming from. However, I hope you do your best to live your life to the fullest. That should be the revenge. Try to do better in anything than any Jews. That should be a revenge also.

Spiceygamble is the ultimate. and she is not blond as i can see.

RE: DO U LIKE WHAT U SEE? (DO U FIND ME ATTRACTIVE?)

Try Trinidad!

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

Anyway, it is the same here in this country where I am now.
Ignorance seems to be norm here. Worse, violence is very much
tolerated. murders occur everyday in this small island.
Guns are prevalent. Unethical behaviors are daily life....
Sanity is hard to find.... Sorry if i have offended you in anyway. Those were just my personal opinions. Of course, you are right. Great teachers bear great students. People achieve more
when they are equipped with right education. :) Shame on me!

Take care. :)

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

P verse NP problem?

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

I havn't studied Physics much. Therefore I can't say that I am familiar with a lot of concepts in Physics. However, the following is what I know.

Torque is different from Force. Torque = cross product of Torque and distance. (cross product is maximum when Torque vector and distance vector are perpendicular).

Now, having said that. The question you are asking seems to be a torque question. Let's look at the 10 feet long object.
Let's assume that our goal is to keep it up in the air parallel to the ground and we are applying force "F" to the pivot point of the object which is one of the end of the object. In order to keep the object in the air parallel to the ground, any amount of F won't be enough to counter the total torque that is exerted by the gravity to the stick( which is 10lb x 5 ft). This is because F x 0 vector is 0.

Now let's assume that you are holding the object in your hand parellel to the ground. Your arm is stretched out and forms a straight line with the object. Then as you can visualize, there is an downward torque by the gravity and there is upward torque by the muscles in your arm. Also, the muscles exert its force not at the pivot point(shoulder cap) but closer to your elbow. Therefore the counteracting force is bigger than zero due to the fact that the distance between your shoulder cap to the elbow is bigger than zero. That is why you will be able to maintain it parellel to the ground.

Now let's get back to the only lifting part of the object. It seems that only vertical force you need to lift the object is always 10 lb. In order to explain this, I could expose the object to a hypothetical force field that keeps the object parellel to the ground by constanly pulling its ends horizontally. In this field, any vertical force that is applied to any part of the object is just like applying the same force to the center of the object. :)

I believe Torque is what turns the object around its pivot point. Force required to lift the object doesn't necessarily have to be related to the torque.

I wonder if i have explained myself well. If you find any fault in my reasoning, it is because I am more into mathematics at the moment than physics. All physics I learned so far from mathematic books...

Take care.

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

thank you for the reply... I know mathematics is a kinda difficult subject. I wish I could meet someone who i could related my interest to .... Any lady mathematician out there ???

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

i guess i won't get any response to that.. :) As Dr. Perelman said, it is not you, It is I who is different and isolated...

any ladies who is interested in mathematics???

any ladies???

RE: How do you get thru the first Hoildays, when your love one passes?

My father passed away in November. I regret that I couldn't spend much time with him toward the end of his life. He wasn't the greatest father and had a lot of humane flaws but he did his best in his life for the family. I am grateful for that.
When I think of my father laying in the coffin under 10 feet of soil, thinking of him laying there this winter brings me tears to my eyes. Now he gone to be with his mother. He must be happier now. Death is not the end of it. This world is just a temporary stop for the better next world. I believe that and I am pretty sure of it because I did my deep analysis of the world where we are living in now. You can't call me crazy. but that is the conclusion that i came to.
So I want to tell you not to feel so sad. Your father is in a better world. From that world he is wishing you the best. Someday, you will be reunited with him. For now, live, love and laugh as your father always wished you to.
