I would just like to say a BIG Thank You to everyone for all the good wishes I have received this year. I had a quiet Xmas though my lovely brother sent my dinner round with my niece so I didn't have to worry about cooking and he has just told me he is sending round my Boxing day lunch as well - roast beef with all the trimmings. He's a good cook and my sister in law's red wine gravy is to die for
I hope everyone had a good time, whether you celebrate or not - personally, not having kids or grand kids, I don't tend to bother too much though it's great to have full control of the TV remote
Well on 17th Sept while I was in hospital, 2 weeks to the day from the 1st treatment, the hair started to disappear - maybe I shouldn't have used Wash 'n' Go shampoo lol! Sooo last Saturday, having nothing better to do, I decided to shave the head. It was quite liberating though I am still trying to get used to it lol! The hound wasn't too sure either, she had a good old sniff then licked my head, strange creature bless her.
I posted the one and only pic of me sans hair on my FB page and got some lovely comments but will not be posting one on here lol!
Thank you to everyone for all your support and encouragement - still a way to go yet but I'm getting there xx
When I get a notification that there is a flower/message from someone I will check out the profile to make sure they are not scammers - anyone who says they are widowed and god fearing is immediately blocked as they have definitely not looked at my profile lol!
Hi folks and thank you for all the kind wishes. Op 3 over and done with, should be the last!! Saw the oncologist on Monday and should be starting my chemotherapy etc the week commencing 2nd Sept - don't worry I won't be frightening animals and small children by posting any pics when my hair falls out and I'm doing my impersonation of Sinead O'Connor lol!
Was told I will also have to have radiotherapy when the chemo is finished and another treatment which will go on for a year though the good thing is the nurse comes to the house to do that rather than having to trek to the hospital all the time.
I's hard going but I am staying as upbeat a I can and your good wishes help - thank you to everyone xx
